"I guess you haven’t heard but Tony was pissed and Herm justified it by saying that he (Herm) is all about the team and not individual records. Tony deserved to set the record in front of his home town fans and Herm denied him that. Hell, Lane Kiffen was doing a much better job with the Raiders and he was fired, Marty had a 14-2 record with the Chargers and he was fired but Herm is allowed to win once in 14 games and he deserves a chance. He took the Jets and ruined them and then comes here and turns a pround franchise into the laughing stock of the NFL."

You got that right Mark!!!

Tony G is and has been more important to this organization than Herm the loser will ever be.

"Bucs: I love this team it has been my second favorite team ever since the late 90s when their defense played the most physical football I had ever seen besides the chiefs of course. I always dreamed of having lynch brooks barber alstott on the chiefs, but we had similar but different talent Thomas Gonzo Richardson Warfield Carter."

My god in heaven!! Since when did Warfield become "talent"? This guy's "talent" lay in binge drinking and being an extra man on the field for opposing offences. His "talent" was being burned several times a game against our opposition. But then again, you believe Herm Edwards has the slightest clue what he is doing. You're as ignorant as he is, and not suprisingly, your show the same kind of ignorance Herm does; ignorant but convinced you're right. WOW!!!!

"Norv Turner is the biggest douch in the world of sports. I still like him cause he gives the chiefs an actual chance nearly every year of making the playoffs."

Norv may not be the best head coach, but he is a fantastic OC. Oh wait, he runs the Don C offence, and won superbowls with it. His offences probably socre too fast, god forbid they do that.

Also, I'd like to thank Herm for getting the ball back, up by 7 points, and throwing a safe pass to Tony G on the last drive to get his 3 yards for the all-time TE receiving record. That was the biggest Hermf... of all time. Tony G left the stadium without a comment. Has anyone seen Tony G pissed before??

"Real fans" knew what we were getting with Edwards, and cannot wait until he is gone. This guy is an absolute joke, and has been his whole career. His greatest asset has been to blame Dick Vermeil for the situation Edwards himself put them in. What a LOSER!! I'll say it again, LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!

I know the Chiefs won last Sunday, but I think the Chiefs should fire Herm Edwards and hire Lane Kiffin immediately! Living out here in the San Francisco Bay Area, seeing how incredibly stupid Al Davis has been acting these last 5 years and watching Lane Kiffin, I think the Chief players would respond to Kiffin's approach. He actually tries to score and will throw the ball down field, go figure. Kiffin isn't the reason the Raiders suck, and I do think Herm is part of the reason that the Chiefs do... just some thoughts.

Croyle would not be 9-9 at the end of the season my bad. More like 10-11 not good enough for you but good enough for me especially he manages a post season win to get back to .500 Talk about gravy baby We would all be high on that Arrowhead air. Yeah probably won't happen, but you have to dream it before it can happen and don't you think that is what every player is dreaming for. They just want to win and Croyle didn't really make anymore mistakes this year than Huard so I would say we have to give him another chance or an eleventh chance however you see it.

I don't know my birth father, being adopted, so maybe... I'm not dark skinned though so probably not.

If you all must know I smoke the finest cali greens. JK I only smoke cubans oh I mean DR's Oh wait I don't smoke cause I don't want fucking cancer like both my parents you shit heads.

Crack is for crack heads like you who jokes about crack. Crack is no joke and a serious problem if you need help there are places that can do just that. Welcome to our world called reality you should try it. The weather's very nice over here.

Yes Herm and his coaching staff made mistakes this year some that cost us the win/tie in New England. From there it was downhill. We had no plan vs. the raiders coaches and players sucked the worst game I have been to since elway and TD kicked the crap out of us almost ten years ago at Home. The problem was this home opening loss showed us the lack of physicality in our defensive front seven. How do you teach a player be physical, you can try but that's like teaching a rabbit to hop. Coaches are their to lead correct mistakes and create a plan. If players are not physical enough they simply should not play. Our losses are just as much on our inexperienced players as our our unproven coaches. All I'm saying is we now have the confidence to be the physical defense Gunther talked of in the offseason my main reason for standing with herm is because our defense is better than most and is young enough to become the BEST. IF we had a offense that could do what they did on Sunday every Sunday we will be 11-5. I just don't see why it seems why you guys want us to lose just to have something new. This year is new. Its different from last year. your just too afraid to look beyond the record and the stats to see the talent we have. It must be developed and the majority of our coaches have what it takes to develop that talent into a really great team. I'm just happy we have fewer fuck heads like sapp wesley bell law these overpaid self conscious unreliable players. We need players who play every down with self less emotion and an indescribable fire in their gut. We had it in the 90's we will have it better in the coming weeks and years.

Who does not like Demarrio? and Thomas has shown flashes of his sheer will to succeed and thats the kind of stuff that makes a championship team the sheer will. You don't have to be the most talented or the fastest you just have to work together have good character and heart to eliminate the big mistakes and there you have it exactly what happened on sunday. No team not even the patriots of 2007 put up more points in the first three games as the Broncos did this year. We held them to one touchdown. But I guess from your logic a team who only scores one touchdown is not any good.

22 teams so far this year have only one TD in a game the ten teams who have scored at least two in every game.

Baltimore who has exactly 65 points this year as the chiefs but they have done it in only 3 games. They average just over 2 TDs and 2 FGs / game.
Certainly a playoff contender even with the rookie quarterback I wanted the chiefs to pick up this year
But not over big AL. This draft was short on good QB he happened to be one of few so he went hight because the demand was so high.

Bears just an average team that somehow plays better than their talent level maybe its the coaching or just the defenses sheer will at times it really matters. doubtful of playoff run without a real offense. Orton is worse than Huard and Forte is no LJ, but they do play as a team which what we are trying to do he in KC>

Bills have done something remarkable with Trent Edwards no one knew this guy before last year, but he started playing like a pro and his team is continuing to build around him. If they don't make the playoffs it will be very sad under their current circumstance of the Toronto scandel.

Cowboys: I don't need to say anymore the Super Bowl was in a gift basket on their front porch in early September they might not win but I would be shocked if they don't win at least two playoffs games this year for the first time in a really really long time like 12 years wow almost as long as 15 years haha not funny sorry.

Saints: this team has no defense like the Broncos so even though no one has shut them completely down yet it will happen with their schedule but 9-7 or 10-6 is not unlikely just depends on how the NFC shapes up in the end whether they are in or not.

Giants: they did only score only one touchdown in Week 1 but managed to win, one of two teams able score only one touchdown and still win this year out of 22 teams. They keep it up and they will be right there with Dallas. I did not expect them to play this well this year with the players they lost but that team has heart.

Eagles: this is the other team that managed a 15-6 win over Pittsburgh and did it with only one touchdown. At only 2-2 they are in not much better position than we are except their talent is so highly at crucial skill positions they will make the playoffs barring serious injury to mcnabb.

Bucs: I love this team it has been my second favorite team ever since the late 90s when their defense played the most physical football I had ever seen besides the chiefs of course. I always dreamed of having lynch brooks barber alstott on the chiefs, but we had similar but different talent Thomas Gonzo Richardson Warfield Carter. I hope this team makes the playoffs this year it will be easy for me to root for them. Last year they got beat by the Giants who got really lucky and played their ass off last year.

San Diego: Norv Turner is the biggest douch in the world of sports. I still like him cause he gives the chiefs an actual chance nearly every year of making the playoffs.
San Diego should have more rings than brady by now but their quarterback is finaly coming into a groove in his third year as a starter. His team made him get to the playoffs in the past. But hey he threw for 180 yards this week 1 TD and 2 INT with a 58 qb rating how was his performance? The only thing standing the way of the san diego chargers is the san diego chargers and well maybe the chiefs if we can play with the physicality necessary to win.

I'm glad you all share your intensity for the game with one another on here but I just hate people who are so closed minded about something so open like winning on sunday. It comes down to the players on the field on sunday I feel like a major problem is our fans who already write in a L for the next week on monday. This is just not the way I remember it being in the past when we lost. Just give another shot against this next team

Tennessee: Has only played some of the worst teams in the game at this point in the season and they are part of the reason they look so bad. They took advantage of their opponents weaknesses and capitalized. They are playing real football and we should and already are modeled after them. Read this it has some interesting points especially since it was written before the Denver game

http://kcchiefs.com/news/2008/09/26/its_been_done_before/

All you guys talk about is how we are one of the worst teams, but you never realize the reality we are curently and you can't some up with any reasonable alternatives to what the Chiefs are doing. St. Louis will continue to suck giant donkey dick for a while they have no fans we still have 60000 people who show up and give their heart and sole to the best franchise in the NFL "The Kansas City CHIEFS!!".

Croyle will get a win his next game I can guarantee it. I will eat my sock if he does not. But I would also be surprised to bring him back before the bye week. I think Huard will get cruched vs. Carolina unless we throw the quick dump passes like screens all game. Hopefully we teach our new o-line how to perfect the screen. Where is Grunhard Szott Shields when you need them to someone. Larry will have to do it again on the ground to get the play action to D-bowe deep. If Huard does win against carolina I see no reason to bring croyle back anyway unless the team feels it is best.
Unfortunately it is a coaches call and if Herm's philosophy of a player does not lose his position due to injury after healed is still true than croyle will come back but he should play at home and prove to the fans against Tennessee that we now have a team that can win and we should all go paint the town red with the blood of the titans metaphorically speaking of course. He can also prove all naysayers wrong when he wins just one game with his arm. But he would still be just 1-9 to you so thats why I say 11-5 cause I hope he comes back and the team around him plays well enough to win to give a chance to use his real skills. He would finish the season 9-9 and going to some place like Buffalo at team we played once at home and beat.

Have anyone of you looked remotely close at the Giants history over the past four five years its remarkable how a coach so hated by his fans to leave in Tom Coughlin could put the rabbit out of his hat and go the distance without New York's best back in Tiki Barber. Eli finally got his shit together and played like a pro thats what we need to expect to happen or our season and future looks bleak, but it is still not too late and the player realized that this week.

Sorry for the book, but I hope you get a better perspective from where I'm coming from and stop saying stupid shit, I admit I do it too. We do need to get better as a team and as fans but that's what happens when you are young you only get better as long as you try you always learn at least that's the way I see life as a 21 year old I have only got better at everything I do every year exceeding the potential of the prior year.

I don’t know my birth father, being adopted, so maybe… I’m not dark skinned though so probably not.

If you all must know I smoke the finest cali greens. JK I only smoke cubans oh I mean DR’s Oh wait I don’t smoke cause I don’t want fucking cancer like both my parents you shit heads.

Crack is for crack heads like you who jokes about crack. Crack is no joke and a serious problem if you need help there are places that can do just that. Welcome to our world called reality you should try it. The weather’s very nice over here.

How do you teach a player be physical, you can try but that’s like teaching a rabbit to hop. Coaches are their to lead correct mistakes and create a plan. If players are not physical enough they simply should not play. Our losses are just as much on our inexperienced players as our our unproven coaches. All I’m saying is we now have the confidence to be the physical defense Gunther talked of in the offseason my main reason for standing with herm is because our defense is better than most and is young enough to become the BEST. IF we had a offense that could do what they did on Sunday every Sunday we will be 11-5. I just don’t see why it seems why you guys want us to lose just to have something new. This year is new. Its different from last year. your just too afraid to look beyond the record and the stats to see the talent we have. It must be developed and the majority of our coaches have what it takes to develop that talent into a really great team. I’m just happy we have fewer fuck heads like sapp wesley bell law these overpaid self conscious unreliable players. We need players who play every down with self less emotion and an indescribable fire in their gut. We had it in the 90′s we will have it better in the coming weeks and years.

Who does not like Demarrio? and Thomas has shown flashes of his sheer will to succeed and thats the kind of stuff that makes a championship team the sheer will. You don’t have to be the most talented or the fastest you just have to work together have good character and heart to eliminate the big mistakes and there you have it exactly what happened on sunday.

If they don’t make the playoffs it will be very sad under their current circumstance of the Toronto scandel.

Cowboys: I don’t need to say anymore the Super Bowl was in a gift basket on their front porch in early September they might not win but I would be shocked if they don’t win at least two playoffs games this year for the first time in a really really long time like 12 years wow almost as long as 15 years haha not funny sorry.

I’m glad you all share your intensity for the game with one another on here but I just hate people who are so closed minded about something so open like winning on sunday.

All you guys talk about is how we are one of the worst teams, but you never realize the reality we are curently and you can’t some up with any reasonable alternatives to what the Chiefs are doing. St. Louis will continue to suck giant donkey dick for a while they have no fans we still have 60000 people who show up and give their heart and sole to the best franchise in the NFL “The Kansas City CHIEFS!!”.

Jake,

If you think Herm deserves more than a C+ for a win, then what does he deserve for a loss? You can't have it both ways, if he gets credit for a win, he gets credit for a loss.

Jake: "(Herm) does not sign the player or get much say in quarterback decisions like Trent Green."

Alex: This is so typical. Just like with my first statement, you are all about giving Herm credit when something goes right, but when it goes bad it's not Herm's fault.

Jake: "Why would I post when we are losing thats when I let all you folk get your half bits worth of ranting in."

Alex: Exactly, you just proved my point. You can't defend Herm when they are losing, so you slink off & hide, but when they win, you are out here in full force. Sure looks to me like if anyone here is a fair weather fan, it is you.

There's a lot of words out there, but let me address a few I noticed:

Regarding grades:

- QB not an "A" b/c 160 yards, 1 td, and some bad throws does not constitute a "top level performance". If that's an "A", then whats 300 yards, 3 tds, and a 130 QB rating? An "A" with 10 pluses?

- OL: Pass protection was so-so at best, hence the B over an A

- Coaching C+ - The point of the article was that the players performance was the difference in the game, not the coaches. Given that the coaches went from an "F" to a "C+", that's a big improvement.

- DL: I don't know which game you watched, but the front 4 were very poor in the pass rush. We only got to the QB when we brought 2 extra rushers.

Other:

- Jared Allen may not be lighting it up, but he has more sacks than anyone currently on the Chiefs roster.

- I don't understand how Herm supporters say "we're sick of the good-but-not-great teams (e.g. Vermeil, Marty). We need to rebuild from scratch to get to the superbowl and Herm's the guy to do it because he went to the playoffs 4 times". Umm, sneaking into the playoffs 4 times at 9-7 or 10-6 and never making it past the divisional matchup isn't exactly "getting over the hump" is it? Such statements are inherently contradictory.
