Albert Returns to Practice

[Kansas City.com] Rookie left tackle Branden Albert worked in some individual drills at practice and afterward repeated what he had said last week: He would be available to the Chiefs for their next game on Oct. 19 against Tennessee at Arrowhead Stadium.

Coach Herm Edwards wasn’t as optimistic.

“We’re going to see,” Edwards said. “We’ll see if he can still practice. He’s doing some things individually, but we have to put him in team concepts of working. Hopefully next week he can practice, and if he can, that’s a good sign for us.”

Edwards also said Damion McIntosh would probably keep his starting spot at right tackle.

“We’d like to keep those guys together,” Edwards said.

    1. Why in the “H” would Damion “Look Out” McIntosh keep his spot at RT. He should put Herb Taylor there. My Lineup would be Herb Taylor at LT, BW at LG, Rudy C, Albert RG, and Barry Richardson at RT. Thats the line that needs to jell because they are the future of the Chief. CUT, TRADE or do something with the scrub they have at RT. Im sure he has given up six of the seven sacks the O-Line is accounted for.

    2. Herm is a cocksucker! He never wants to play his good players!! What a pussy! I HATE Herm Edwards! He is a piece of shit football coach. He couldn’t coach a 5A High School to a championship.

    3. I really hate Herm Edwards and I am starting to dislike Clark Hunt a lot too for letting this crap continue.
But! I still love my Chiefs and I do loves me some Chiefs football! I also like to see a win every now and then.
And! I liked the “Fan Forum” a lot too, where’d it go, when we getting it back? Did somebody piss in someones Wheaties?

    5. i agree with J-Rock. i think our OL should be Taylor at LT, Waters at LG, Niswanger at C, Albert at RG, Richardson at RT. i was happy when the chiefs took barry richardson in the draft. hopefully herm can mold brian johnston to be the next LDE for the Chiefs and have Tank Tyler and Glenn Dorsey be our DT’s. our LB’s should be LOLB Demorrio Williams, MLB Napolean Harris, ROLB Derrick Johnson. CB situation is fine cause brandon carr and flowers are our future at CB. Surtain is good but obviously is aging.

    6. I agree on Demorrio Williams, he should be on the field a lot more than he is.
And I still hate Herm and Carl.

    8. All this comes down to one man, Clark Hunt. If Clark took notice and heard what I would say is about 90% of Chiefs fans, if not more, he’d see that firing Herm and Carl would be the best option. Maybe not right now midway through the season, but after this year is over. I hope to God at least one is gone, hopefully both. Doesn’t Carl’s contract expire so to speak after this season? Anyone??

    9. We have to trade Larry Johnson before Tuesday. It will not completely fix the team but it’s time to let Kolby Smith and Charles play more. They would do just fine as a tandem. Also, Herm Edwards sucks because he walks the sidelne with a headset on and never talks into it because he’s not really a coach. He just wears it for looks because I imagine people got on his ass for not wearing one at all last year. All of the good coaches are extremely in touch with their team and communicating not only with the players but with the coaching staff during the game. Herm just likes to walk the sideline and have the best seat in the stadium. He needs to stop pretending he is a coach.

    10. Marques, in answer to your question, yes, Carl Peterson’s contract is up at the end of the year, but, before you think the Chief’s are really going to get rid of him, think about this…who is there out there to replace him?

Can anyone name me one qualified, and don’t tell me Bill Cowher, I love the guy too, but, when was he ever a G.M., not in Pittsburgh. Check your history, he was ever the G.M. there, so, who else have you got in mind?

Clark Hunt is 43 or 44 years of age that is 2 years younger than I am, what he needs is someone to help guide him, and the football team in the right direction. Carl Peterson can be that guy, for the right price, and with the right contract, one with incentives, just like the ones Carl makes the players sign! You have a bad year at the draft according to the experts Carl, you get no bonus. The team does crappy, you get know bonus. You have an A+ draft according to all the experts, and it really pans out that way in two or three years which is when you really know how your draft was, then you get a nice bonus for that year (If in the mean time you have been fired, so sorry, your loss!). It really is to bad that the Chiefs don’t look at this stuff, but, then again, you never know, they may…

    11. There is no right answer for who would be a good GM, and I can gaurantee everyone that Cowher will not come to KC. If he goes anywhere it will be in Carolina, he’s already bought a house in Raleigh which I hate to say because he’s a bad ass coach. My favorite option as a possible new coach for our boys would be Frank Beamer from Virginia Tech, we all praise “Marty Ball” but we dont realize that it is the same as Beamer Ball except Beamers is a much better way of playing the game with young players, Beamers requires more speed and energy and less discipline, with lots of turnovers (in our favor) and game changing special teams. Go ahead tell me I’m a moron and bash me but I think Beamer would be a perfect fit.

    12. Everyone wants to boycot— but no one wants to miss a game after what they paid for the tickets…solution…go to the game DON’T spend any money at the game..have someone drop you off at the game and walk in, never leave your seats except to increase their water bill by taking a piss– watch the game and buy nothing
