[Kansas City.com] Chiefs coach Herm Edwards spent Tuesday and Wednesday avoiding reporters’ questions about running back Larry Johnson’s availability Sunday and whether an arrest for an alleged late-night scuffle might affect his playing status.
Edwards was vague when asked during his weekly news conference Tuesday whether he expected Johnson to face discipline as a result of the arrest, whether that discipline was levied by the NFL or by the team. Edwards remained vague Wednesday but did say that if Johnson would be disciplined, it would “absolutely not” come from the league.
“Larry’s practicing,” Edwards said. “That’s all we need to know. I don’t need to make a decision on what happens with any player until Sunday.”
Johnson was in uniform during Wednesday’s practice, but he was not in the Chiefs’ locker room during the media’s allotted time.

You can’t (shouldn’t) punish someone on a mere accusation, especially one as full of holes as this one. Any wingnut can make accusations. You have to wait until there is some weight to this, if there ever is.

Well he’s not being “vague” now.
