Thanks everyone for the compliments, I appreciate it!

If I was within driving distance of Arrowhead I would absolutely try for a press pass. Since I'm not a regular beat reporter I doubt I would get one, especially since they are losing.

Even if I was able to get approved, it would only last til the end of my first question before I would be escorted out. D'oh!

JD, no one can beat your commentary on herm edwards and i love reading your articles. With that said i hate having to read about this terrible staff and the destruction of this franchise. I am beginning to wonder what herm is slipping in these peoples drinks to get them to be excited about such a bad team. When i hear things like "I think we are headed in the right direction", i cant comprehend how these people can be so brainwashed.
I think the only way this situation will end will be if the players rise up and simply refuse to embarass themselves and play for this coach.

Great column JD, as usual! My coworkers are looking at me wondering why I'm laughing out loud.

Seriously, JMN is right - it's about money. Until the bottom line begins to suffer, Clark Hunt will not be motivated to change anything. He's not a fan of the game like some NFL owners are. For crying out loud, he was a SOCCER player of all things. They don't care about winning, as long as everyone gets a chance to play.

My tickets are already purchased, but my money stays in my pocket at the game. I take the bus and save the $22 parking fee that would otherwise go toward revenue. I take in my own bottle of water, and I no longer purchase memorabilia at the stadium or at any local retail store. Until he does something about this team, I will no longer give him money. And if it's Herm and Carl choosing players on draft day, they can keep next year's season tickets, also.

I love the Chiefs, always have. Am I a fair-weather fan? Maybe. But the Chiefs have been a fair-weather team these last three years.

Something I realized the other night, while watching MNF. Bob Kraft (I think it's Bob?), the owner of the New England Patriots, is always shown in his owner's box during the games. WHENEVER the Patriots score, whether it's their first 7 points are there 41st point, he jumps around the owner's box high-fiving and cheering like a kid. He is a fan of the game and a fan of HIS team. No one can argue that the Patriots are one of the most successful franchises this decade and I believe that is where their success starts!!

Where the F is Clark Hunt on game day??

Is he even in KC for ANY of the games (save last week due to Emmit Thomas honor)?

I honestly do not blame Herm or Carl (man it hurts to say that) anymore, I blame the INCOMPETENCE of our SPOILED little rich kid owner Clark "The CLUNT" Hunt.

That is all!

"rather than try for a touchdown and maintain some tiny hope of a comeback, or at least salvage the Chiefs’ dignity, Edwards sent in the field goal unit. Wasn't it only a few weeks ago when he refused to get Tony the record setting catch at Arrowhead that Herm said he wasn't concerned about things like that but winning the game was all that mattered?
