[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Wednesday that the club claimed P Steve Weatherford on waivers from New Orleans. Per the NFL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, those players will play under terms of their contracts with their previous clubs.
Weatherford played in seven games with New Orleans this season, punting 26 times for 1,094 yards (42.1 gross, 34.2 net) with five inside the 20 and three touchbacks.

Why did we sign a Punter. Is our MVP hurt?

His leg must be worn out from punting 25 times a game.

LOL, Johnny you got it right. My question is who is going to hold for the kicker on field goals and extra points. Oh I forgot we don’t kick extra points.

“And as if all that weren’t enough for a team that’s been blown out in three games already, the Chiefs also disclosed that punter Dustin Colquitt is nursing a groin injury and may not play this week. Besides tight end Tony Gonzalez, Colquitt has been Kansas City’s only consistent performer, ranking second among all NFL punters.”
There’s your answer as to why we signed S. Weatherford, thats from yahoo.com

What? A punter; why the h— do we need another punter? Oh, yeah, I forgot, in case Colquitt goes down we need someone to replace him. He’s our best, and only offense, he gets us out of the lousey three and out offensive jams that we get into for the entire game! Why the h— don’t we replace Damion McIntosh, that guy is worthless yet he stays on and on… I just don’t get it!
