[Kansas City.com] The Chiefs hoped defensive end Tamba Hali would lead the defensive line in sacks. They just didn’t realize that Hali wouldn’t get a sack until week eight and that Kansas City’s other starting linemen have no sacks.
Hali said he felt no relief or joy Sunday when he brought down Brett Favre in the fourth quarter.
“This is a team thing,” he said, and the team lost.
The Chiefs moved Hali to left end at times Sunday, a shift from the right side Hali occupied during the first six games. The Chiefs rotated Turk McBride and rookie Brian Johnston at right end when Hali lined up on the left.

Trade his ass. That’s pathetic.

It comes down to -We suck and need to re-vamp the coaching staff. WE have some of the players that we need and some of the other players need to go. we need veteran leadership to get this team to work.
Herm and Carl are not the answers… Lets take the loss of the season and rebuild the Coaching staff

I would bet that we see more sacks outta Tamba now that he is back on the left side…we hope anyway.

We need to abandon this defense and get back to the real Gunther Cunningham defense, start using the falcon position and disguise our blitzes a little better. Also I noticed yesterday that we telegraphed our running plays too, you could always tell what side of the line the running back was gonna hit. Tamba should never have been moved to start with. And why does TG always get called for what other WR’s and TE’s do…..do the ref’s dislike him that much?

Finally, the chiefs looked competitive. but really we do have the worst defensive line in football. we need talented defensive ends and I don’t think Tamba Hali is good enough. We should of kept Jared Allen.

We lost, but it was a good game to watch.
I guess Herm let Gailey open it up a bit yesterday! Who knew that there was more than one page to our playbook?!?!?!
The best part of the game for me was watching the Chiefs do things that weren’t as predictable as they have been this year.
Thigpen did very well (IMO)doing what he was asked to do.
The play that broke our back was the long run (TD), but I commend them on going after Favre on 3rd down like that instead of our normal soft zone ‘prevent’ bulls*t.

To Whom It May Concern,
The whole defensive front looked terrible, including the Linebackers. Where the “H” was Pat Thomas? DJ look alright but he could have played better. PLEASE GOD dont let Glen Dorsey be another RYAN SIMS. My feelings for Sperm and Carla haven’t changed. Both of them suck goose eggs.

Robert I did’nt realize I was talking to a English major. I was just simply stating the facts and you want to harp on my grammar skills. I think ice skating would be more your style. You’re still a dumbass. (Closet Raider fan)!!!!!

Whoever thinks Tamba Hali should be traded is complete DUMBASS(chief tom) first off who would take his place? Joe the plumber???!! Tamba Hali has never been a very good pass rusher he is a run stopper this year he was moved over to right end and has played poorly becasue 1. he’s not used to playing RE (differents stance so he hasn’t been getting off the ball quickly) 2. he has to go against the LT which will be teams best lineman which we already know Tamba isnt a very good pass rusher 3. teams know he’s the only halfed ass good lineman we got so he always get the double team with Tamba Hali you’ll never get over 12 sacks with him but what you will get is a run stopper who has tons of heart and will bust his ass to make a play down the field
Comment by Mike41 — October 27, 2008 @ 11:52 am
maybe the chiefs should have Joe the plumber work out for em he would be a better linebacker than Pat Thomas. we need a couple GOOD linebackers bad and GLENN DORSEY needs to pull his head out of his ass he is playing like a bust ryam simsII????

WOW one sack. Only 15 more to go to match Jared.

Hey Bob Gretz… I mean Nathan. When you’re done making out with Carl Peterson’s ass let’s talk about that trade.
Comment by MYERS — October 27, 2008 @ 1:31 pm
Problem with Joe the Plumber is this. He wouldn’t want the job because he’d have to pay more taxes.
Comment by chfsfan — October 27, 2008 @ 2:06 pm
Problem with Tamba is there is no other threat on defense. Teams make sure he is blocked and they don’t have to worry about anyone else. The middle or inside linebacker is usually the leading tackler or the team. I doubt if Pat Thomas is leading the team. That is a problem. I think our young corners will be good players. They surely would be doing a lot better if we had a better pass rush and QBs had to rush their throws more often.
Even though it appears the offense played better, they only scored 17 points. About half of what they scored per game in the pre-Herm days.

Hey Myers when your done bringing your personal life in to your comments let me know. By the way, you must have your mouth around Al Davis’ A-hole. Gay Raider fan Myers!!

Tamba Hali can be a solid consistant player in the right position on the line. If you look at the great d linemen in history they weren’t having to move around on the line. Kampman same, Allen same, Mario Williams the same. I can go on forever like this. Unless they are built like Ware, Suggs, or the late great Derrick Thomas you can’t move them around like that.
Comment by JCJ — October 27, 2008 @ 6:57 pm
I agree, whoever said trade his a** needs to be traded himself, go be a Raider fan loser. Just because one player isn’t doing well doesn’t mean he’s ain’t worth a damn. The team as a whole is horrendous and their is no team continuity. No one individual is gonna stand out statistically except for tackling and Im thinking its gonna be one of our safeties since that’s just about where we wind up tackling anyways, after the 1st down.
Comment by Marques W. — October 27, 2008 @ 7:08 pm
well he’s on pace for 2 now.
Comment by Mark F. — October 28, 2008 @ 12:39 am
He will get more sacks than just one and I’m suprised nobody brought up the fact that he hit Brett Favre’s arm on two of the three interceptions and I would much rather have an INT than a sack. Undeniably Hali was disruptive in that game and it just happens that he moved back to his old position. BULL—-!!!
