[Kansas City.com] Chiefs running back Larry Johnson has been charged with simple assault after allegedly spitting his drink in a woman’s face.

Kansas City police spokesman Darin Snapp said Johnson was charged Monday and turned himself in, later being released after posting a $500 bond.

Snapp said the incident occurred on Oct. 10 at a Kansas City nightclub. The 24-year-old victim reported that Johnson threatened to kill her boyfriend before spitting his drink in her face.

After leaving the bar, she said Johnson tried to spit on her again as he was escorted out.

    1. Hey way to go Larry. You should start the new chapter of the “He Man Woman Haters Club” in KC. We’re darn proud of you.

    3. Can this give the Chiefs an “out” on his contract? This might be a way to get rid of him without paying his salary. He was great only when we had a great O-Line.

    4. Hey I’m not trying to defend LJ and there is excuse for spitting in some ones face but come on he’s not half as bad as some of the other nfl player who whine and cry and get in trouble with the law. Besides if he was running behind a good offensive line for 1700 yards nobody would of said a thing.

    6. hopefully the NFL goves him the Pac-Man treatment; if so, we can finally rid ourselves of his contract.

    8. Everytime I stick up for this Pr*** he pulls something like this. Cut his stupid A**. Thats not who are in KC. If he want to be like that, go play for Baltimore, Dallas, or Oakland. I’m sure the Bengals will need a new inconsistant HB before long, and he’ll already be a criminal.
Get lost LJ! The young backs we have try every down. Go back to Brooklyn and maybe JayZee will put you on his newest record.

    10. send him to either oakland or dallas cause both Al Davis and Jerry Jones will do whatever it takes to win, even if it means having prima donnas and criminals on their team.

    11. I don’t understand these NFL players. Plaxico missing meetings one week and then missing treatments one week after being suspended. LJ in trouble for domestic reasons and what does he do, spits in a womans face and threatens to kill her boyfriend. Leonard Little and Ray Lewis are killers and are still playing. Finally Pac Man Jones got suspended AGAIN, but for how long? Too bad Ray Carruth wasn’t a superstar, he’d be out of jail too. Time to clean up the league and I think Goodell is the man to do it. My only regret is LJ is on my fantasy team.

    12. Mike41,

Actually i think that LJ is way worse than TO. All TO ever does is run his big mouth. That’s not against the law. LJ on the other hand is a THUG.
