[ESPN.com] Chiefs running back Larry Johnson has been suspended without pay for Week 10, NFL commisioner Roger Goodell ruled Friday.

Johnson will sit out when the Chiefs travel to play the San Diego Chargers on Nov. 9.

Johnson, the NFL said in a statement, had previously violated the NFL Personal Conduct Policy and has since been involved in multiple incidents in which law enforcement was required to intervene.

Johnson also was informed that upon the disposition of two pending law enforcement matters he faces the possibility of additional disciplinary action.

As per NFL suspension policy, Johnson is not permitted on the team’s premises until a week from next Monday.

    1. I will be glad to see LJ back on the field but that punishment is very very weak. For the way he treats women he should have is ass kicked at the very least. Ridiculous!

    2. How does he get off so easily? Pacman got the hammer thrown down before he was convicted of anything. One game!!! This is a treat not a trick for LJ. It seems he would rather not play anyways.

    5. Pacman is a criminal. He has been given way too many chances. Hopefully LJ will learn a lesson here and get his life straightened out. He needs to have the fire lit again, seems like he’s been running afraid of being hit when he used to deliver the punishment. Hope he gets back to kicking ass. In any case, the Chiefs will not win another game this year and if they win 2 or 3 next year it will be a miracle as long as Herm, Carl and Clark are running this outfit.

    6. Out a total 4 games due to team’s choice. Not cause of league punishment. It should be 4 games of league punishment like Pacman got.

    7. And LJ isn’t a criminal. Spitting in a lady’s face and threatening to kill someone is criminal activity. You guys make it sound like LJ is a hall of famer. You aren’t good until you can run behind a mediocre line, like Barry Sanders could. He is not different, as of right now, than any other starting running back you will put in the backfield

    8. So who thinks Charles should get the start over Smith? I think he should since we are on this youth movement but then again it is only Smith’s 2nd season. Just seems to me like Smith is more of a guy that NEEDS his line, like LJ…Charles is the only one with a respectable ypc average.

    9. I am just glad to see that he will not be able to collect his paycheck. Finally his attitude will hurt him wear it counts the most to him, his pocket book. That is all he cares about. Lets just get rid of him for next year.

    10. man all u all are talking about like pacman got, you have to think that pacman had already been told by the league after his year long suspension that he had little room to wiggle with. I understand alittle, no man should ever hit or abuse a woman, but the punishment has to fit the crime. I’m sure the league saw that herm was disciplining LJ as well, and just threw that one game in there to make it 4.

    12. this will be the reason the chiefs will save a couple bucks and cut larry at the end of the year or trade him.(cheap ass franchise). Clark Hunt SUCKS.

    13. True Soad, Jared acted like a child and just couldn’t get it together (DWI’s)……he finally put a few months together without trouble, LJ is cancer and the Chiefs don’t need him.

    14. Who gives a flyin f?@ck our team sucks and will continue to suck until we get an owner that wants to win. I really hope that everyone is not so blind that they can’t see what is going on here.
Lamar Hunt did not have to put the hammer down to get people to play for him, being in that mans presence inspired you and that is why you played your heart out. Lamar is the heart and soul of this team and now without him you see what is going on. I hate to say it but when Lamar passed away so did his legacy…….the AFL and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs will always be my team until the day I hoist the Lamar Hunt trophy in heaven but for now i’m gonna go watch college football…….GO HOKIES
