[Kansas City.com] Chiefs rookie cornerback Brandon Flowers sat out Friday’s practice because of a sore foot. Coach Herm Edwards said he expected Flowers to play Sunday against Tampa Bay, though he’ll enter the game listed as probable.
The Chiefs can’t afford to be without Flowers, who had his breakout game last Sunday with two interceptions against the New York Jets and Brett Favre. Flowers has started all seven of the Chiefs’ games so far and is fourth on the team with 33 tackles.
Just in case you’re not sure what to get me for Christmas, I want a Flowers jersey. I decided that several games ago!

In addition to the Flowers Jersey size M or L, I would also like a few fellow Chiefs fans who post on this website who are actually possess real thoughts in their heads instead of just blurting out pre-recorded thoughts such as “herm sucks” and “carl sucks” or “clark sucks”. I would like for these Chiefs fans to be unlike Nathan who doesn’t understand that you gotta play for yourself and play for each other, and play for the TEAM!! He doesn’t understand that there are a lot of asshole coaches/owners/GMs with winning records…
And after I posted a harmless post (few and far between on this ‘bring me down’ website), throwing a little flattery to one of our rookies, he had to F#%K it up with post #2. Un-friggin-believable. The glass is ALWAYS half empty with Nathan isn’t it? When has he ever praised the coaches/GM for KC’s successes over the past 15 years?
I know his type…waaahhh waaahhh waahhh…too afraid to put five extra minutes into their thought process, it’s just too damn easy to say “herm sucks, carl sucks, clark sucks, this guy sucks, that guy sucks…yeah, they all…uhhh…suck…yeah, suck”.
Please let Nathan, and anyone else with the same “__________ sucks” philosophy know the following:
IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY HEARD, HERM EDWARDS IS NOT GETTING CANNED MID-SEASON. HE IS BEING EVALUATED AT THE END OF THE SEASON. CLARK HUNT IS BEHIND THE REBUILDING. Get on with it, get over it, get on with your lives…There’s no sense wasting dendrites and axons in your brain to form the thoughts “Herm Sucks, Carl Sucks, and Clark Hunt Sucks”…just skip right over that thought and try to formulate something else to productively discuss our Kansas City Chiefs. Let’s change the way WE respond to the downs and ups of this crazy-ass season. Let’s give the guys that are doing an outstading job week in and week out, as well as the guys who are continuing to increase their athletic ability week after week a reason to stay a Chief next season. Let’s be the kind of fans they can feel proud to represent. Do I get frustrated at the coaches? Sure! All fans do, but they don’t all want to blame EVERY FRIGGIN CRAZY ASS THING on him week after week after week.
It’ old and crusty, stick a fork in it, it’s done.

Chief Tom, good call brother. Thanx:-) Wow! Can u believe it? Negativity already on post #2. What am I saying? Of course you can believe it. Unfortunately it’s became far too predictable to just get negative without hesitation on this site. That’s what stinks the most, I used to dig this site so much and now I am just losing my adoration for it more and more. Kinda like CNN. Thanx again Chief Tom. I hope Santa brings you a Flowers jersey too:-)

Tammy, thanks for your opinion. Nathan, I appreciate your opinion too. Matter of fact I agree with both of you. I too like Flowers, he is going to be one of our best players. I also think Herm is not the answer and I would like to see him go. Before you blast me for my opinion, I have been a Chiefs fan since 1969 and I don’t ever remember this team being this bad. I have seen the Chiefs win a superbowl and would really like to see them win another one some day.
Isn’t this a great country–you can type anything you like on a website that asks for your opinion. And, you can choose to read the responses you wish.

You are following with your own constructive commentary regarding previous commentary. That’s a whole lot different than when I posted something harmless and positive (for a change) and it got followed up with the same old negative rhetoric! My comment had shit nothing to do with the performance of Herm Edwards and/or the Kansas City Chiefs. If I would have been talking about how Herm’s the bomb and so on, then sure! Shit, come on!!
It is not my no. 1 mission to defend Herm, Carl, or Hunt! That’s being mis-interpreted! I just don’t want to barf out “Herm Sucks!” everytime anyone mentions the word “Chiefs”.

“Is Donnie Edwards…?” “Fire Carl.”

The Chiefs are my team and always will be…This too is the worst season I have been through. I’ve been on board since Joe Montana came over…I have seen footage from the 80′s…tnat sucked too? Do you really think this is worse? Seriously, I’d love for you to expand on that…that sounds like some good productive commentary!! Whenever you have the time, if you wouldn’t mind, please give me your comparison of the ’80s debacle and the last couple years to present. I would love to discuss that.

The 80′s Chiefs if you looked had 1)Hall of Famers and 2)100% Effort day in and day out because LAMAR HUNT, THE GREATEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO KANSAS CITY, wouldn’t stand for anything less than your absolute best. Nowadays we’re ok with mediocrity and “that’s ok son, it’s only a game” speeches. You know what cures hate and criticism? WINNING, ya know, that 7 letter word carl peterson doesn’t understand.

Finally, there were some adjustments made at half time….. !! Ha!
Neutered and offense that was playing well by going too conservative, and we adjusted from an aggressive ‘proactive’ defense to a soft zone ‘reactive’ defense.
Tampa knew that we would go ultra soft on Def with a lead like that…. (did Garcia EVER get pressured?) so they just slowly picked us apart.
