[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Wednesday that the club has agreed to terms on two-year contracts with CB’s Ricardo Colclough and David Macklin and a three-year contract with DE Wallace Gilberry.
Colclough was selected by Pittsburgh in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He joins the Chiefs after spending time with Pittsburgh (2004-07) and Cleveland (2007).
Macklin has appeared in 116 NFL contests over eight seasons with Indianapolis (2000-03), Arizona (2004-06) and Washington (2007). He most recently attended training camp with St. Louis is 2008, but was released prior to the start of the regular season.
Gilberry entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the N.Y. Giants in 2008. He attended training camp with the Giants, but was released prior to the start of the regular season and assigned to that club’s practice squad.

accepting everything that carl or herm does as great makes me sick. why not sign someone who is established instead of no names who are cheap?

i dunno if you guy noticed but we have a fuck ton of injuries…ya a fuck ton. so we obviously have some holes to fill just to make it through this year. Thats all these guys are for. I really don’t see the point in complaining or celebrating. You have to have a certain number of people to do the job. That is all.

a fuck ton, lol. your right FatDaNn, but i think this coclough guy might be the best move so far, we need as much depth at the CB spot as possible.

Injury update
The Chiefs might have cornerback Brandon Flowers (hamstring) and punter Dustin Colquitt (groin) for Sunday’s game against the Chargers in San Diego, coach Herm Edwards said Monday.
Linebacker Derrick Johnson (hamstring)and cornerback Patrick Surtain (quad)are less likely to play.
The Chiefs may have three roster spots to fill this week. Kolby Smith will go to the injured-reserve list. Larry Johnson is serving his NFL suspension. Backup punter Steve Weatherford will be released if the Chiefs determine Colquitt is ready to punt.

I guess we should fire the trainer too. I’ve never seen so many injuries.

I hope this Defensive End can bring some heat. What about Simeon Rice? At least he knows how to get to the quaterback. We have no pass rush. That is killing us at the end of the game when we have a lead. We need a pass rusher now.

I know deangelo is a problem and he has a bad attitude and whatever, but why not take a chance on him?? He deffinately cant be any worse than that legget. And our line is horrible(defensive) so why dont we pick up kabeer baja whatever, i think the packers cut him. he can get to the QB. AS ALWAYS, GO CHIEFS!!

I don’t care if we sign Goofy, Donald Duck, or Minnie Mouse for a defensive end, as long as they have good size and speed, speed, and more speed.

DeAngelo Hall can sign with Dallas or New England, I don’t want his issues, shitty work ethic and lack of ability to cover a single WR on my team. Give me some no name rookie any day of the week over this retard.

I think Pluto might be on the waiver wire though!

Is there any significant reason we shouldn’t make an offer for DeAngelo Hall, especially given we have no depth right now? We don’t have to overpay him, just make an offer and see. The guy’s only 24 years old and excelled in zone based defenses similar to our base set. With Flowers, Carr, Hall, we could potentially be set at CB for years.
Obviously the fact that Atalanta wanted to trade him and then he was quickly cut by Oakland sends up some big red flags. But if we can get him on a cheap multi-year contract, why not take a shot like we are with all these other “street” guys we’re filling our roster with?
In the end, he’ll probably want to go to a contender, but I’d be disappointed if our management didn’t at least inquire.
