[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Wednesday that QB Damon Huard is the recipient of the club’s 2008 Ed Bloch Courage Award. Dating back to ’83, the Ed Block Courage Award has annually honored one player from every NFL team who exemplifies commitment to the principles of sportsmanship and courage.
Named in honor of longtime Colts athletic trainer Ed Block, recipients of the award are selected by a vote of their teammates. Huard and the NFL’s other 31 Ed Block Courage Award winners will be honored at the annual Courage Award Banquet in Baltimore on March 10, 2009.
