    1. Damn,
We need Alfonso Boone and Mark Bradley. I wish Adrian Jones would hurry and heal up. It’s good to finally have Page, Thomas, and Surtain back though.

    2. I just wonder which raiders team will show up this week?
Your comment about Jones makes me wanna comment about Thigpen. He is making the o-line look good. I mean we have a patchwork line at best and still hes not getting sacked. Well as often as the other guys we had not too long ago.
I know the common thought is get another qb but do we do what we did with croyle and say its thigpens job to lose next year. Or would you all rather us draft someone??
I personally think its nice to finally see a young guy step up and try to take a job.

    3. The problem lies on the right side of the line. Adrian is good but I Highway 77 needs to go. He gives up waaaaaay too many sacks. I would expect that from Brandon Albert only because he is a rookie LG play LT. We need to put Herb Taylor in the game so he can get use to playing that position for next year. Personally I think Surtain will be gone at the end of the year. Those three rookies (Carr, Flowers, and Leggett) are doing fine out there. CUT Surtain in the off season as part of the “SO CALLED” rebuilding process.

    4. WE NEED A SAFETY! I’m sick of these people in love with Page and Pollard. We play COVER 2 DEFENSE AND THEY STILL LET THE BALL GET BEHIND THEM!! I don’t mind pollard at all I wish he’s get moved to linebacker(before you laugh look at his build hes big if not bigger than the lbs we got now) hes always good in the box but fails in pass coverage, always wants to make a hit but cant cover a wr long enough to do that. Page I personally think is not worth still starting if we can find someone better. And if we’re gonna stick with the way we play offense now then we should def try and grab MICHAEL CRABBTREE. Him, D-Bowe, Bradley, Franklin, Cottam, LJ, Charles, Kolby, hell those look like good enough weapons maybe to keep Tony around to try and make a run. Bart Scott will be a free agent. I know it sounds far fetched but think about it(skill positions wise):

      QB- Thigpen
      RB- LJ, Kolby, Charles
WR – DBowe, Bradley, Crabtree, Franklin
      TE – Gonzo, Cottam

      DE – who knows anymore
DT – Dorsey,Boone, Hansworth(doubt it but it sure does look nice)
      OLB – DJ
      MLB – Bart Scott
      OLB – Pollard
      CB – Flowers, Carr, Leggit
      FS- Morgan, NEED!
      SS – NEED!

    5. i agree about page and pollard tony, they let the ball get behind them AND they CANT TACKLE!! but who knows theyre young still maybe theyll learn some things. too bad we dont have any vets to teach them lol.

    6. Yeah I know right, thats the stupidest thing in the world to have chefs. Vets that can help these kids once theyre ON THE FIELD and not after the fact. Who wants that. Willie Roaf, Will Shields,T-Rich,Ty Law(hey hes helping those young guys out where hes at now),Jared Allen,Kawkia Mitchell, Tynes, Al Saunders….rather have lost 30-27 than be losing 13/50-3 nowadays

    7. I refuse to blame our safeties for getting burnt deep. How often have you all seen the pass defense break down because of lack of pass rush. Last year we didnt have to go through that because we had a pass rush. Of course sometimes any teams safeties will get beat but not much as ours. The pass rush is the key. Last year we had Jared Allen and he put tons of pressure on the QB. Last year Minnesota was LAST in past yards given up and Chiefs were 5th. This year they jumped 10 spots to number 22 and the Chiefs dropped 22 spots to number 27. Whats even worse is that Benard Pollard is leading the team in tackles and not any of our linebackers like they did last year. Chiefs leading tacklers from last year were as follows: Nap Harris 116, Donnie Edwards 106 and Derrick Johnson 94. This year its Benard Pollard 65, Brandon Carr 54, and Jared Page 50. It sucks when your safeties have to be your linebackers and still try to cover deep routes too. So looking at that, you can easily tell that even the best safety could get fooled with playaction playing on this defense.

    8. J Rock the pass rush has nothing to do with the safety’s getting burnt deep. The pass rush affects the CONERBACKS COVERING THE WR. EVEN IF THE QB HAD 10 SECONDS TO THROW, THE SAFETY’S PLAYING THIS GOD AWFUL COVER 2 ARE NEVER SUPPOSED TO LET ANYONE BEHIND EM NO MATTER WHAT!! AND GOOD SAFETY’S DON’T TAKE THE PLAY ACTION AS MUCH THESE GUYS DO THOSE 2 GOT TO GO. POLLARD I THINK WOULD MAKE A DECENT LINEBACKER ACCROSS FROM DJ AND HEY IF WE CAN GET BART SCOTT NEXT YEAR TO PLAY MIDDLE AND LBS WOULD BE SET, WHICH IS SAYIN SOMETHIN..

    9. I know that mr. tony didn’t just say that having ZERO pass rush and 10 seconds to throw the ball doesn’t effect safeties in coverages. jeez, and i thought the herm supporters were smokin crack.

    10. So, can you back that up with SOME kind of substance or fact or something? We have the last ranked defense in the NFL. Our leading tackler is one of our safeties! What that says is he has become a NECESSITY in run support or we’ll give up 30 yard runs on every play. Also, i’m normally seeing our safeties get beat deep when we’re blitzing and causing our safeties to cover man to man, then once our pathetic blitz gets stuffed, they’re on an island for a long time. THAT’S NOT COVER 2 DEFENSE. At that point they’re bigger and slower corners covering taller, faster wr’s that have 7 or 8 seconds to go wherever they want. Show me ANY safety in the league that can cover wide receivers man to man with no help when a blitz is unacceptable. That’s like saying the biggest problem with the country right now is unattractive street signs. Albeit we might have some nasty signs, but THAT’S your concern right now? How many sacks do we have? 5, 6? Ya, i’d be bitching about the safeties. AMAZING

    11. wait, so tony says that pollard is “big if not bigger than the linebackers we have now”, please think things out before you speak. Ok, pollard is big, no one questions that. MOST NFL football players are BIG, so i guess ur right. But you think he’s bigger than derrick johnson? even rocky boiman? pat thomas? demorrio williams? Donnie edwards is the only one close to his size, and his whole career the knock against him is size. So, ummmm…. right. You really think pollard weighs the same, if not more than derrick johnson? Some people on here seem to get an emotion, like “pollard seems big, he must be as big if not bigger than our lbs, so i’ll write it as if i have any factual proof about it.” or, herm edwards speech made me FEEL happy, so he must be a good coach. Let’s see some REAL shit from these people. I still can’t believe that people believe that if you’re shell defense is cover two, that on EVERY defensive play that the safeties have deep zone coverage. Jesus, even if you didn’t play football, i’m sure you’ve played madden or something. I hope.

      Comment by dbowe82 — December 1, 2008 @ 8:35 pm

    12. just to add to that, page weighs more than pollard and is only and inch shorter, so tony, you think we should move them both to linebacker? I mean hell, they’re both as big if not bigger than our lbs. I hate to see fellow chiefs fans act so ignorant. And btw, all my info is verifyable from the NFL/CHIEFS official websites, so I, unlike tony, am not pulling this shit out of thin air. Hey, connor barth and dustin colquitt are about the same size as steve smith for the panthers, we might have two suprise wide receivers on our hands
