[KC Chiefs.com] The Chiefs announced on Friday that the club has signed LB Weston Dacus to a three-year contract from the club’s practice squad.
Dacus originally joined the Chiefs as a rookie free agent in 2008. He attended training camp with Kansas City this year, but was released prior to the start of the regular season. This is his second stint on the club’s 53-man roster this season.

Who cares! On to the offseason!!! YAY!!!!!

This is such a meaningless article. I agree RednGold.

Now we are set for the SuperBowl in 2009. I’ve been waiting for them to do this. I guess getting rid of Queen Carla really helped.

Why go through the effort of getting this kids hopes up when he’ll get cut again next year before the season starts. Maybe he’ll get some play’n time in this game and bust out though, who knows.

I have higher hopes for next year than I did for this year.
Hopefully they will give us back the fan forum here so we can have decent conversations about the team instead of having to comment in worthless news postings such as this.
With that being said, good luck tomorrow!

What moves do you guys really expect to see right now? There are no trades possibe, FA is a joke going in to the last week of the season, its only b/c we have injury at LB and he’ll probably only see time on ST. If you thought it was going to be a meaningful roster move, you are retarded.

I think what people are saying is, “Why even report this?”

Should be the last game for Herm

Well, it might be Herms last game we have yet to see who the new GM is or what he’ll want to do. Im personally thinking that Herm will probably be gone, but I wont rule out that he may yet be around for his 4th year.
I wish that we had a LB on the practice squad that we could sign the the regular roster that would be an upgrade over DJ, because he actually seems like he gets a little worse every year to me.

HEY ALL OF YOU CHIEFS SUPPORTERS OUT THIER MARTY IS NOT COMING BACK HE HAS REFUSED A VP ON OUR TEAM
Comment by Michael Diedrich — December 28, 2008 @ 10:21 pm
I hate to say this. I don’t think Herm is the problem. I have immence respect for the coaching staff. If any of you think Marty or anybody could have done any better with this roster than y’all are crazy. Continuity in the NFL is of the utmost importance. I love Gun, Chan Gaily is established and Herm needs to be more direct in communcation. With the experiance that our young guys have gained this year we could be next years ATL, if we find our Matt Ryan, Thiggy could be a decent QB in the league if our line gels next year. I say give Hermy one more year! Otherwise we recycle another failed Head Coach. Like Mike Martz? Jim Fassel? Brian Billick? WTF!

HERM may lose his job, but at least he outlasted Mangenious, who got fired today!!!! Way to go Herm. Mangenious and the Jets took Herm’s playoff experienced young team and got a bunch of old has beens (sorry Brett) and ran the team into the ground. Not only that, they let a better QB go for nothing. Pennington then comes back to knock his old team out of the playoffs, that’s Karma, BABY.
Lets hope the next GM does not follow the jets failed formula, (get new coach, bring in a bunch of high profile veterans, become medocure, and then slowly decline over the next decade). Or worse, get some crazy old fart to draft badly, overspend in freeagency, fire the head coach every other year, and then blame other people for the mess they created. Herm needs at least another year to develop our young team into something. Stay on coarse and everything should get better from here.
