    3. Ever so slowly putting together a very nice coaching staff.
I also am intrigued that some responsibilities were named but not the defensive coordinator……not just yet.
Think Romeo might still be a thought?

    4. Its a possibility that we could grab Romeo or another vet to coach the def. Right now all we have is a coin flip between gibbs 3-4 and pendergasts 4-3. According to this website our offensive trends suggest another hire is a possibility.

    5. With all of the experience our new hires have, I see us making a turn around that compares to the Falcons or Dolphins. We have 2 Offensive coordinators (other than Haley) and 2 Deffensive coordinators (possibly a 3rd on the way yet). How can all of that experience not turn us around? Pretty hopeful for the new season!!

    6. Give me Jim Haslet over Romeo Crennell as DC anyday. Haslet can run the 3-4 defensive scheme better than most.

    8. Hey guys, you should read what Adam Shefter at the espn website under nfl tab had to say. He “implied” that both Gibbs AND Pendergast were to be Defensive Coordinators. The article’s main point was to question Glenn Dorsey’s role (because he is undersized as a NT). That’s because Adam also said that Chiefs Defense IS going to a 3-4. (Maybe Albert Haynesworth (sp?) could fill that spot?).Plenty of room with the salary cap. He is going to test the free market.

    9. Its possible Dorsey could be an end in a 3-4 if he is quick enough, but he is definately undersized for a NT.

If we do go to a 3-4 and he cannot play end… then he might get phased out, which sucks because hopefully his upside is as good as it’s supposed to be.

    10. I think that we should go after Channing Crowder LB from The Dolphins. He had 113 tackles last season. He is 25 Years old hitting his best years right now. And He is going to be a star on “D”. Cmon Pioli get him on Feb. 27th.

    11. so the combine is almost over and its time for the speculation begin. the draft this year seems to be loaded with linemen both offensive and defensive. Wr’s and Qb’s seem to be a little lackluster and the Rb’s werent extremely impressive.

so any thoughts on a draft strategy for this year?

    12. in my opinion we need go for players offensive linemen like M.Oher (miss), E.Monroe(Va), or K.Urbik (Wisc). this would hopefully fill some of the huge holes in our offensive line, in turn giving us a better run game, which is essential to success in the NFL.

there’s no need to go after a defensive player, we have always had the talent, we just needed better coaches. we will need a strong Lb to play in our new [3-4/4-3] combo defense, i could see a player like M.Johnson (Ga Tech), BJ.Raji (BC) or B.Orakpo (Tex) or someone similar to that, who has both size and speed.

this could also be accomplished in free agency. a lot of talented players hit the market on friday, and it could be interesting who pioli will go after.

    14. How about a guy like…say Marvin Harrison? Just released! How much better of a player would he make Bowe?
