    7. You bring in who you know, that’s part of it. Herm did it, Vermeil did it, Peterson did it. They all do it. They know some of these players better than anybody else. I figure this is just a body for camp with a slim chance of making the team. The surprising thing is that they signed him so early in the free agency period…. shouldn’t we be focusing on guys that there is competition for at this point?

The question is, when do the ex-Cardinals start showing up?

    8. Go go T.O. Time! Don’t care what you say about him, egocentric, childish, selfish, the man practices hard, plays hard, and is there to compete. I could put up with the headache by signing TO.

    9. Gonzo is My Daddy-

No way! T.O. is known as the locker room killer. We don’t need him starting s**t with our new QB. We want our QB to be comfortable, not have big mouth T.O. up his a$$ every week.

I can’t stand T.O., he isn’t about the team, he’s just about himself. I think only the lowly Raiders would take him now. I heard that there is only 1 or 2 teams that would take him and his headache.

    10. Gonzo,

I agree T.O. is an incredibly talented player. However, he has proved three different times that he can NOT get along with other players and coaches.

We are getting a lot of positive hype right now with our fairly high-profile offseason acquisitions. My worry is that T.O. would distract from all of that. Plus, if we think L.J. is a disease in the locker room- I’m pretty sure he’s nothing compared to T.O.

Plus, T.O. and Haley have a history (a bad one), so it’s doubtful he would give the go ahead.

I’ve seen several mock drafts floating around that have us taking Crabtree if he’s available. What does everyone think of that?

    11. T.O. LMAO!!!! TO belongs with the garbage at your local dump, I’d rather bring back Tamarick Vanover.

      Comment by Marques W. — March 6, 2009 @ 7:24 am

    12. If we dont get a big name WR before the draft, then yes crabtree would be a good option. But i think we will, even if its not T.O. there is still more talent at the WR position in F.A. this year then i have seen in awhile.

Matt Cassel won’t be the same unless he has a big WR to throw to, like he had with Moss. That being said crabtree is only 6’1″, and probably not the big time WR we are looking for, not to mention the inrjury in his foot.

    13. If T.O. did come to the chiefs, would he be embraced by the fans and community or booed off the field every game?

      Comment by KC111110 — March 6, 2009 @ 8:28 am

    14. That would depend on if the Chiefs were winning or not! 8-)

    15. T.O. is one the best WRs ever. But, he is also a cancer and I want nothing to do with him. I hear he may end up with the Vikings. I wish he would go to Denver or San Diego and destroy thier teams. Cutler is already on edge with the drama of last week. I can only imagine what it would do to him to have to deal with Owens.LOL

      Comment by John — March 6, 2009 @ 9:45 am

    16. T.O is not a team player period. No one man is bigger than the team.

      Comment by Rocky — March 6, 2009 @ 9:57 am

    17. T.O will go to Oakland. If not now, then eventually. Only two teams would put up with him: Dallas, and Oakland.

      Comment by Chiefs23 — March 6, 2009 @ 10:08 am

    18. Sean Payton claimed TO dropped some 33 passes last season. We do not need a TO + Bowe set of drive killing hands (although I think Bowe will improve in this area). Throw in his attitude and antics, and you have a big NO THANK YOU!

If we want a veteran WR, lets go after Holt or Harrison. Holt would cost us in a likely trade, but he might have a couple fantastic years left in him. Tony, Bowe, Holt, Cassel. Sounds like a dangerous passing attack.

      Comment by VLTC — March 6, 2009 @ 10:12 am

    19. ya, but if want a veteran guy who could help both bowe and franklin and all of our other young WR’s, harrison would do the best job at that. And he would be an instant moral boost and we’d be making a hug mistake if we took T.O. instead of marvin. Plus, didn’t Todd Haley have issues with T.O. when he was in Dallas?

      Comment by KC111110 — March 6, 2009 @ 11:02 am

    20. I don’t give a good god damn if TO is a locker room headache. He’ll grow up. Look at Randy Moss, when he came to New England he was known as a disruptive player….now you barely hear a word out of the guy. If we can find a talent like TO elsewhere then fine I say we go for it, but a proven wide receiver you can’t find any better on the field right now than him. In his least productive season with Dallas he still fielded better numbers than any receivers we have. I’ve yet to see a big name flashing in lights getting a Chiefs uniform (well not since the 90′s anyway). I would give him an incentive laden one year contract, he starts s**t he’s gone. I mean c’mon, D-Bowe, TO, and Gonzo? Who the hell you gonna cover?! Double team Gonzo some more, let TO and DBowe run wild, oh yer gonna cover TO now, BOOM Gonzo TD, wait is that SOME WHERE OVER DWAYNE BOWE! TD TD TD….jesus it writes itself!!!!!

lol but seriously everyone should look past his attitude to the talent the guy would bring. All you naysayers would be swinging from his jubblies if he came here, shut up, and played a hell of a game.

I am no fan of T.O. not by a long shot, but I am however a fan of the prescense that type of player brings to the field. We have none right now and it doesn’t look like we’re going to be signing any.

And for you spelling and gramar teachers…YES I KNOW I SPELEDD STUUF WRONNG! :P

      Have a nice day :D

    21. I wounder if Romo is crying over TO??? I doubt it. He can finally just throw the ball to the open receiver. NO ON TO!
I could put up with Chad Ocho Cinco because he is just an entertainer and wants to win. TO loves him some him. We don’t that.
Bowe is going to be the man. Have you noticed his TD celebration??? EXACTLY. We need more of that. GO CHIEFS!
I would rather go O line with that 3rd pick.

      Comment by Chief J — March 6, 2009 @ 12:57 pm

    22. Romo-That’s my reciever man, weep-weep-weep, that’s my reciever.

      Comment by Rocky — March 6, 2009 @ 1:29 pm

    23. He has Dwayne Bowe to pass too…… He needs someone that will get double coverage so he can pass to them when not and to TE Gonzalez if both are double covered

      Comment by kcchiefs19692003 — March 6, 2009 @ 3:59 pm

    24. D-Bowe….still not proven…..still young…..still needs developement and a talented veteran to help him along. I didn’t think about the Harrison idea though, and Oline with the 3rd pick in this draft would be a waste. HAHAHAHA I forgot about the crying incident that made me lol irl. Curry, Crabtree, or Maclin with the 3rd IMO.

    25. The winds of concrete have shattered the glass brush fires. Scott pioli doesnt fish where the sky has talked to the rocks. If C.J. Jones has dirty diapers then the hamburgers will rise to freshness

      Comment by Berm Bedwards — March 6, 2009 @ 7:46 pm

    26. I’d rather have Herm for coach, than TO for a receiver. TO would ruin our young QBs. I believe he has talked his way out of the NFL. Oh yeah, never mind, he’ll be playing for the Raiders.
These New England guys are players Pioli likes. Just because he is now picking players for the Chiefs doesn’t mean he has to stop liking the players he picked before. Like VLTC said, they all do it.

      Comment by Jeff in VA — March 6, 2009 @ 7:47 pm

    27. If we go with the idea that the rams don’t release Torry Holt, I absolutely would not mind getting Harrison to go along side Bowe and Tony G. Cassel would love it and Harrison could teach our receivers to be professionals unlike anyone in the league. Also, Harrison had no off the field trouble, besides shooting a guy-but wasn’t that self defense anyways? Regardless I like Harrison but he would have to get a new number cuz Tony G has that s**t on lock.
