[KC Chiefs.com] The Chiefs announced on Tuesday that the club has signed WR Rodney Wright and LS Tanner Purdum.
Wright originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round draft pick of Buffalo in 2002 and spent the last four seasons with the San Jose Sabercats of the Arena Football League.
Purdum was a four-year letterman as a long snapper and quarterback at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas.

These guys are so badass….oh wait who are they again!?

Wow a 4 year letterman at Baker….that says A LOT. Needless to say, these 2 won’t be on the team come september

I was about to say that we really need a long snapper. I would not be suprised if the long snapper won the job.

LS……and QB. Wonder if we’ll see a fake or two.

we really kicked some ass in signing defensive free agents this off-season,what a joke.

hey meo04d, In case you didn’t realize, we already have a long snapper. His name is Thomas Gafford.

Who cares if they won’t be on the team in September. Every team needs lots of bodies for camp, those guys don’t play for free. Why is everyone freaking out that they signed a couple of no-names?

We need some competition at LS. Gafford made some mistakes, but he may still prove to be a long term answer.
Jesse-James, I’d love to see how you draw up a play where the snapper becomes the passer…
I like taking a chance on a few potential diamonds in the rough, e.g. some arena guys. Who knows, maybe he’ll turn out to be a good returner, although his age seems to preclude him from being a long term answer at that particular position.
