With their 3rd round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected DT Alex Magee from Purdue.
Magee (6’3″, 298) is an athletic one-gap defensive lineman with starting potential in the NFL. After a slow season last year, he stood out during Senior Bowl week, and then looked good at the combine.
Magee will give the Chiefs a versatile defender capable of playing inside or outside along the line. Magee has some pass-rushing ability and should contribute as a rotational player for the Chiefs as a rookie.

This is the third year in a row we have drafted a DT in the first 3 rounds: Tank, Dorsey, and this guy. I hope we some return on them.

Thats why he’s NOT a D. Tackle and a D. End. Pay attention to how they are going to be utilized in our 3-4.

I had never heard of this guy before we picked him with our first pick of day 2. Does anybody have a take on this guy? Has anybody followed his college career?
