[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs Chairman Clark Hunt today named Denny Thum President of the Kansas City Chiefs. In his new role with the organization, Thum will oversee all aspects of the club’s business operations and will report directly to Hunt.

Thum enters his 36th year of service with the Chiefs organization in 2009. He is one of just three current members of the Chiefs organization who own the distinction of being continuously employed by the team during the tenure of every head coach in franchise history. During his time with the Chiefs, Thum has helped the franchise evolve with a changing business and NFL climate, serving in a variety of roles.

    1. I like this guy. He’s been around for a long time so he must be doing something right. He was here when we were a very very competitive (defensive…in my opinion) football team back in the 80′s, so he’s seen us win.

    2. Denny was a great friend of the Hunt family, I like this move. A little of the old and a little of the new. I think Clark is doing a good job of bringing this org into the new millenium.

    5. Yeah well unfortunately with this move you may have just gotten rid of mostly good with a little bit of bad. You should be sorry not for the login requirements but for a lack of discussion. Your courage is selfish. Just another person trying to control the world around your own beliefs. Get off your high horse and be a man its not like kids need to be reading this bulls**t anyway.

Sports are what they are, an escape from reality. Just like drugs (alcohol included) sex and music. If you want to change something change your perspective.
