Three Veterans Back on the Field

[Kansas City.com] Three of the five projected starters assigned Saturday to coach Todd Haley’s conditioning dungeon began team practices a day later. Guards Brian Waters and Mike Goff and nose tackle Ron Edwards participated in team drills Sunday.
Neither player stopped for interviews, and Haley wouldn’t say whether they’d retaken the conditioning test they failed Friday. Right tackle Damion McIntosh and defensive end Glenn Dorsey, both of whom admitted to failing the test, remained on a side field and worked on conditioning exercises – such as carrying weighted plates and performing crunches – while their teammates practiced.
Waters and Goff rejoined the first-team offense, and Haley said after Sunday’s practice that he thinks both could be “difference-makers” for the Chiefs in 2009.
