[ESPN.com] ESPN is reporting that the Chiefs have signed veteran wide receiver Amani Toomer to a one-year contract.
Toomer, who has played all 13 of his seasons with the New York Giants, has 668 career receptions for 9,497 yards and 54 touchdowns.
Last season, Toomer caught 48 passes for 580 yards and four touchdowns.
He’s about Engram’s age. Anyway, he’s good across the middle. Good hands, never been a real fast guy though.

I was just comparing the stats for Toomer and Engram. Toomer is definately an upgrade here. After nearly the same amount of career receptions, Toomer has more yards and TDs and far less fumbles–14 for Engram and 4 for Toomer.
