Haley Ready to Experience Arrowhead
Chiefs coach Todd Haley said Wednesday that he hasn’t been inside Arrowhead Stadium since he was hired in February, saying he was preserving that experience for his first game. He’ll experience that Saturday, during Kansas City’s preseason opener against Houston.

Chiefs Avoid Blackout
Chiefs officials say enough tickets have been sold to avoid a local television blackout of Saturday night’s preseason game against the Houston Texans.

Hali Making Progress at LB
Chiefs coach Todd Haley said Wednesday that outside linebacker Tamba Hali has made the adjustment from defensive end and is “starting to look like a linebacker.”

Hali hasn’t spoken to reporters during training camp, saying he’s waiting until the season starts. But Haley said he has seen enough from Hali to know that his work ethic wasn’t dampened.

“A hungry kid that wants to be really good,” Haley said. “There isn’t a time that you don’t see him working.”

Injury Report
Safety DaJuan Morgan, running back Kolby Smith, linebacker Zach Thomas, guard Wade Smith and tight end Jake O’Connell sat out both sessions Wednesday. Right tackle Damion McIntosh was limited.
