[Chiefs Blog] The Ring of Honor was not included in the renovations to Arrowhead Stadium. Those names and numbers in black lettering displaying the members of the Chiefs Hall of Fame have been taken off the stadium’s facade.
Now, the names of the 34 members of the Chiefs Hall of Fame will be flashed elecronically on the ribbon boards during the course of the game. They’ll be seen periodically but not continuously.
Who’s going to notice the names flashing by like a stock market ticker? You don’t take down the names of those who built the place.
Some things should not be tampered with.

I agree the fans should let Clark Hunt know that this is unacceptable. The names of the hall of fame players in my opinion should in lights continuously so when I take my children to see the chiefs play I can point out all the grate players to show them the wonderful tradition of the Chiefs.

That’s just not right at all. Matter of fact, it’s stupid. I hope they change their minds.

Yeah, if there’s not an uproar about this I’ll be surprised…that’s just unfathomable…what would be their reasoning for not including it in the new Arrowhead?!?

This won’t last, it can’t. I think they’ll find a good place for those names to go …….

Completely unacceptable. I live in Denver now, and you can see the names on TV — EJ Holub, Otis Taylor, Art Still, etc.
This is such a poor decision, and its consistent with the awful course this organization is taking.
-I’ve been a Chiefs fan since 1969!
