[Kansas City.com] Quarterback Matt Cassel injured his left leg early in the Chiefs’ preseason game against Seattle. He left the game and didn’t return in the first half.
Cassel was injured on the third play from scrimmage and his first pass attempt. He was sacked by Brandon Mebane, limped back to the huddle and then to the line of scrimmage to run the next play.
But he called time out before the snap and walked directly into the locker room.
We will update this story as more news becomes available.

This is not good news. After watching Tyler Thigpen, we will be in trouble if Cassell is out for a long period of time. By the way, why didn’t Brody Croyle play? Is he hurt, also?
