[KC Chiefs.com] A day after releasing eight players, the Chiefs released 13 more players this afternoon to get their roster down to the league-mandated 53-man limit.
The cuts are: CB Jackie Bates, TE Tom Crabtree, DE Dion Gales, DE Bobby Greenwood, G Darryl Harris, WR Taurus Johnson, WR Ashley Lelie, DT Derek Lokey, S Bernard Pollard, S Ricky Price, LB Zach Thomas, RB Javarris Williams and WR Rodney Wright.
The Chiefs also placed guard Colin Brown on injured reserve.
The Chiefs waived S. Benard Pollard? I thought he was one of our best safeties? I guess we are going with S. John McGraw? I hope everything works out.

I think we need to take a look at our talent scouts. It seems as though pretty much everyone they’ve picked up is let go b4 the season starts (with the exception of top draft picks). I figured A Lelie would end up as a good grab for us…they kept talkin him up on the Chiefs website camp articles.

The fact that Bernard Pollard got cut really makes me mad because he was my favorite defensive player. I just can’t believe they would cut him over Mike Brown who USED to be good.
