I believe we're better than last year. I am not ready to blame anything on Haley. I didn't see the game, I listened to it on the internet. It seemed to me that Cassel was at fault at the end of the first half. He's calling the plays in the two-minute drill. The offense lost this game. The defense played very well - even if they couldn't make the stop at the end. Giving up 13 points should win the game for you. With that said, I believe we may be looking at 0-6 start. The NFC East teams are good. I'll be at the Redskins game. My first game in over 20 years. I hope we can upset one of these teams.

Chiefsfan39, you sat through the attrocity that was Herm Edwards and this was the most disgusted you have ever been. At least Todd Haley has the players excited to play. I see a group of guys who are playing their heart out, it's just not there yet. I think that if they keep playing with this heart and get some more talent over the offseason things will turn soon. And by soon I mean over the next year or two.

I first want to say that I love the chiefs to death. I've been a diehard fan for over 12 years. They are my team through thick and thin. That being said this is going to be a very long and painful year for all of us diehard chiefs fans. The casual fan will think nothing of it and just root for another team. When you're a diehard fan you have one team to root for and you live and die by that teams success. No doubt this season will test our loyalty as diehard chiefs fan. I've never been so disgusted with this team like I was after the lose on Sunday. That was inexcusable to say the least. If we don't play with some sort of passion and urgency than we're going to get killed this year. Everyone pray for a miracle turnaround. I will try and keep the faith. I really have no other choice because like I said before this is my team through thick and thin.

I was thinking the same thing about Haley.... he might have taken on too much responsibility trying to be the head coach AND call the offense. We wasted 2 time outs in the 1st qtr and it was obvious that it was because the play call wasn't ready.

As the head coach he's got too many other things to worry about/pay attention to, either call the plays or be the head coach. Hopefully after a few weeks things will run smoother.

I thought the defense played much more aggressive in week 2 (for the first 57 1/2 minutes anyway). God do I hate the prevent defense concept.

If you thought we were going to be good this year your dreaming. We have a very tough schedule, no help there, and Herm left us the worst team in football.

Other than that this franchise is going in the right direction. I see a lot of potential in Cassel, and if they had Haley calling the offense from the beginning and fired Chan last year, we would of seen different results today. It's hard to learn a new offense in 2 weeks. Bobby Wade is going to be great in play action. Bowe is Bowe. Johnson is running hard again instead of going down every time he got touched. All we need is a couple of new O-line guys next year and a decent tight end and we'll be competitive. Our defense played prevent in the last 2 minutes. Prevent defense prevents teams from winning games. (See KC and Dallas) We need a good defensive coordinater, that's for sure. I'm tired of seeing the defense play straight up on their guy, no stunts or anything. You have to be unpredictable, otherwise the line picks everything up. Unless the guy is an absolute stud (Derrick Thomas). But we have no such guy anymore.

These are just my thoughts from what I've seen so far, and I think we're going to be good next year if Pioli works his magic. But yes, it does suck losing to the Raiders at home.
