[Chiefs Blog] The Chiefs filled their roster vacancies by signing linebacker David Herron and cornerback Mike Richardson. Not surprisingly, both players have ties to the New England Patriots.

Herron, who played in college at Michigan State, was with the Patriots for one game in 2007. The rest of his two-year NFL career was played with Minnesota.

Richardson, who played in college at Notre Dame, was a sixth-round draft pick of the Patriots and he played in 10 games for New England last year.

    2. Good Grief! How many N.E. players does that make now?

And it’s not like we’re getting the top tier N.E. players either…….

    6. You wanted Herm out…. you got him! I still hope we can turn this thing around. But Cassel just looks subpar and our Oline is the worst in the league. We got rid of Gonzo who’s putting up HOF numbers again this year and now Thiggy!!!! I mean we lost to the freaking Raiders at home!!!!!! Jrussel is the worst qb in the league and we lost to them… how embarrasing!

    7. We can have all the N.E. castaways, but with no Belichick, it means nothing, nothing. Haley is a far cry from Belichik, I don’t care if they came from the Parcells coaching tree or not.

Our defense was young and inexperienced last year, couldn’t keep our lead for us—how nany points did Thiggy put up every game for us? 20-30 plus every friggin’ game! Now our defense is getting better, although they lost that Raider game for us, but we can’t put a lot of points up because of our O-Line:-) You all know that!! We couldn’t keep a QB healthy last year b/c of our O-Line, right?!?!? And now Thiggy’s gone and we’re stuck with ‘just came off a pre-season injury’ Cassel and ‘don’t touch me or I might break’ Croyle!! What?!?! We all knew our O-line was a joke, and we all feared that Cassel would be in for it here b/c we don’t have the O-line that the Pats have…

Oh, but Herm’s gone, and he was definitely the problem, right—cantcha tell?!?!

PS Does Haley seem unstable to anyone else or is it just me?
