[Kansas City.com] Safety Jarrad Page said the NFL sent the Chiefs a letter acknowledging a mistake was made when Page was penalized for unnecessary roughness in last week’s loss to the Giants.
Page broke up a pass over the middle for wide receiver Steve Smith but was penalized for making helmet-to-helmet contact with Smith. Replays showed Page actually used his shoulder to hit Smith in the chest.
The Giants scored on a touchdown pass to Smith on the next play, taking a 14-3 lead. They won the game 27-16.
The league’s acknowledgment didn’t make Page feel better. “It doesn’t do us any good now,” he said.

Yeah we got a lot of bs calls during that game and that one on Page was sure one of them. We might have one that game if we didn’t get all those bs calls.

Why don’t they start fining the refs in games where they make mistakes? Maybe they would be a little more careful.

I think that fining the officials is a great way to start demanding that they do their job!! After all, players get fined when they do dumb SH*T!! and making phantom calls that change the flow of the game, is a DUMB SH*T move…..

I love the comment by Mr. Wood. If only our world could learn to spell.
Our Chiefs have been getting some pretty horrid calls but I wouldn’t go out and say we would have WON the game…but it would have been a little closer. Maybe like 24-17 (17 and not 16 because we wouldn’t have gone for the 2-pt conversion if we would have been down by 7).
I hope the Chiefs have some better play calling tomorrow…these first 4 games have been…sketchy. We start so freaking slow…punt, punt, punt, etc…then half time…ugh!

Replay clearly showed that Page hit the shoulder pad and not the helmet. So NFL should change the instant replay rules to look at “questionable penalty calls” that could be a game changer. That play probably wouldn’t have changed the out come of the game but it would have at least slowed the Giants momemtum at the time.
