First off--about your defensive lineman in the first round topic...Houston drafted lineman in the first round and they all said it was a mistake 1 or 2 years after and then they all became beasts so I'd say just wait to judge.

Second off--you said we should get some "offensive talent" but I'm sorry a TE will NOT do shit for our team right now. Last year we had the best one ever and what did it do for us...uh a 2 win season I do believe.

Thirdly--I'd like to point out that having Harvin, Crabtree, or Maclin doesn't mean shit without an offensive line to block for the QB in passing plays. And lets not mention that EVERYONE forgets that if we don't have a run game we won't have a pass game...pretty simple concept that people just forget about.

This isn't like a video game where you can pass it every down and the opposing team (computer) doesn't catch on.

About the 3-4/4-3 comment. For one you probably know nothing about the big advantages of the 3-4. Basically you have 3 DT's to stop the run and then 4 LB's to cover/blitz (usually one outside blitzer--Hali and one MLB blitzer). but you must have good corners (which we are young but good in that category) and safeties have to pretty much do everything which is why Pollard didn't work--he was basically a LB cuz he was always in the box and when he covered he sucked. Regardless for our personnel NOW if we switched back to a 4-3 we'd be pitiful and worse on defense.

Basically what it comes down to is we need time/patience for some of our young defensive guys to get to be bad asses. There's gonna be a turning point for our defense and we'll least expect it. NE was good on defense before their offense exploded...patience.

Warning...slight rant.

I hope that we stop drafting Defensive Linemen in the 1st Round. It seems like Detroit drafting WR in the 1st Round.

I understand that Defense wins championships, but please get some offensive talent in this year's draft so we can enjoy watching games again and score touchdowns.

We are drafting high enough that we should consider the TE from OU Greshom (spelling?) It seems like a no brainer that once healthy he will be a perennial all pro if he is able to play like he did before the injury. who cares if it is a reach at the position. The sick thing is I dislike OU immensely, but he could change the entire dynamics of our offense.

Don't get me wrong I like the head coach and it takes time to change a losing culture, but did we really need to change to a 3-4 def. so soon when 4-3 def. still work and our personnel fit that style better. Can't NFL coaches adjust their system to fit the players so they have a better chance of winning. That would have allowed us to draft a freakin WR that could get open. Also way to pass up every offensive lineman which is by far our weakest area.

The nice thing is we should never be run on since we have Tamba Hali, Glenn Dorsey, Tyson Jackson, Derrick Johnson, all drafted in the 1st Round.

However we could be scoring touchdowns with Percy Harvin, Crabtree, or Maclin next to Dwayne Bowe.

As frustrated as I am it is still better than Herm the Worm. Go Chiefs!
