If he finds a job somewhere, it will be as a backup. It won’t take long for him to say something (about being a back up) and get in trouble where ever that is. He has always been about himself and has never been a team player. Just like T.O., he divides teams.
What he said about Haley may have all been true but you just keep those things to yourself. Haley has been successful everywhere he has been. The college golf player nearly coached the Cards to a superbowl win last year against a great defense. If not for a unbelieveable catch he might have won that game. Because he was successful everywhere he was, he has progressed. Maybe LJ was disappointed that his dad hasn’t progressed at all. Haley deserved this shot at head coach, maybe it will work maybe it won’t.

I am amazed by the support some people have for this moron!! The only mistake management made was holding on to him this long! I agree with the sentiment that it would have been nice to get a pick out of him, but I think this sends a stronger message. Trading him would show LJ that we believe he is still worth something and feed his ego even more. Letting him go this way simply makes the organization look more ethical and shows a tremendous amount of integrity. Not to mention the respect it shows towards the fan base, who came out in huge numbers to sign petitions against LJ.

Today I was reminded of the pride I felt in my team years ago. The loyalty and integrity of players on the roster and within the administration. This is the beginning of a true rebirth in Kansas City.

This is not about homosexual slurs as many would suggest. It is about his demeaning attitude towards others; his disrespect and lack of compassion. His ego that is fed by a cancer of negativity that would have swallowed this entire team and thwarted the progress the new regime is trying to make.

LJ’s success came behind the same line as Priest, but Priest made much more plays; plays that took heart and effort, which LJ never had.

Larry, had you accepted your role in Kansas City and worked as you should have, year-in year-out, success would have continued for you. This is the result of your own selfishness.

I liked LJ on the field, off the field was another story. LJ was tired of losing. The Chiefs O Line really has sucked for the past three years. I am sure LJ will be better off somewhere else. I wish him well, no hard feelings. He won alot of games for us in the past. Oh and for what he said about our head coach….it was true that Haley was playing golf while LJ’s dad was coaching football right??? hummm

Larry Johnson is frustrated this is a sh*ty coached team. you watch he will go to anouther team and light it up. Tony G, Jered A, and Pollard all got out and are playing good. We have the same tallant as denver only differance is we have a coach that dosent know anything about being a head coach i dont care who his dad is. This team is getting worst each week. Pioli this is not the patriots, we are the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS GET US SOME F***** COACHES.

Good move. He was a cancer for the team. He was a product of a great offensive line. Went to the Jags game on Sunday, and the only jersey my boy had to wear was #27. We put tape over his name! He was a piece of #&%@, and I hope someone in the AFC picks him up so we can shut him down. Thanks Scott for not letting him break Holmes record.

Larry’s a football player not a saint if Scott pioli would of done his job and built a o-line we would have a 1,000 yard rusher.He will go and be a great asset somewhere else he was just frustrated with this piece of s**t team.

Way to handle Business
He might have a little left in him but not pro bowl type material. This guy was playing w/ NO HEART and NO BALLS like he once did! I haven’t seen him break a tackle in a LONG time now. (come on, this guy got paid millions, us chiefs fans would go in there and give it all for FREE)
Maybe this can bring a spark to the chiefs and hopefully start winning some games…..

This guy was a huge piece of crap as a human being even when he was a great running back, and now he sucks on the field too. Pioli and Haley should have flushed him immediately if they wanted to bring a new attitude to the team. It would have been unbearable if he had broken Priest’s record!!!

the writing was on the wall years ago that LJ hated being a Chief. i don’t understand why people are praising his release when we could have gotten either a great back to fill his place or a first or second round draft pick…

This guy never liked any coach he ever had. Even Penn State fans say he was a whiner there too. We all know any running back on the Chiefs in 2005 and 2006 was going to be a pro-bowler behind the line we had then. He has a poor attitude. I hope he does go to a AFC West team so we can kick his butt. I am most excited that he won’t be breaking Priest’s record. I want that record to break someday, just glad it’s not him.

Congrats to Haley and the Chiefs upper management. They took care of this problem and got him off the team. Maybe they can all come together as a team now and move on. This is a good thing for the Chiefs.

Here is the prime example of somebody who takes his life for granted. If I had the ability and the oppotunity to play in the NFL, I would be thankful everyday. This guy really asses me off.

Happy to finally see it happen. He needed to be released after so many suspensions. If we wouldn’t of released him we would of been setting a tone for the rest of the team, that you can get away with almost murder and stay on the team.
I am glad to see him go.
