[Kansas City.com] Chiefs coach Todd Haley said Friday that Kolby Smith could start at running back Sunday at Oakland, but he didn’t commit to a starter, saying the first offensive play could influence the decision.
Smith was activated last week after missing the previous year while rehabbing from a knee injury. Jamaal Charles and Dantrell Savage are the Chiefs’ other options.

I cant believe Smith could be the starter. Let Charles take over and see what he can do. Give him 15-20 carries for once.

charles did better than anyone else last week, but didn’t get much of a chance to play. He just needs a chance to play.

I am starting to sense that Charles is in the same spot as Derrick Johnson….if Haley don’t like you it doesn’t matter what your abilities are or if you are any good or not at your position….you aren’t going to play.
