There are many different ways to go about predicting the winner of an NFL game; studying scouting reports, analyzing individual matchups, checking out the expert’s NFL picks, those are just a few of the tools used to make predictions. Those are all fine methods, but I prefer a more modern way, playing the match-up on Madden 2010 and seeing who comes out on top. Here is this week’s game prediction:

Chiefs Beat Struggling Broncos at Arrowhead

The Kansas City Chiefs won their third game in the last four weeks on Sunday, defeating the Denver Broncos 24-14 in front of a sold out crowd of 74,916 at Arrowhead Stadium. Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel had a big day, throwing for 201-yards and three touchdowns to lead the team to a come from behind victory. Cassel hooked up with wide receiver Chris Chambers twice, on an 18-yard touchdown throw in the third quarter and on a 3-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

The Broncos held a 7-3 first half lead, scoring on an 11-yard touchdown run by Knowshon Moreno who finished with 97 yards on the day. Correll Buckhalter scored on another touchdown run, breaking free on a 9-yard scamper. Quarterback Chris Simms, who was filling in for Kyle Orton who was injured in the first quarter, struggled. Simms completed only 13 of 27 passes and was picked off four times by the Chiefs defense.
