[Kansas City.com] Running back Kolby Smith, who missed part of last season because of a knee injury, could be in danger of cutting another season short. Chiefs coach Todd Haley acknowledged Friday that the ankle injury Smith suffered two weeks ago could land him on injured reserve.
“We’re having further evaluation,” Haley said. “Welll see.”
Smith injured the ankle in the win two weeks ago against Pittsburgh, and it was his third game appearance since being activated in early November after recovering from the knee injury. Smith began this season on the physically-unable-to-perform list before the Chiefs activated him before a game at Jacksonville.
