[Chiefs Blog] Don’t count on a television blackout of the Chiefs-Buffalo game on Sunday just yet.
The NFL has granted the Chiefs a 24-hour extension to sell the remaining unsold tickets for the game.
The Chiefs now have until noon Friday to avoid the blackout within a 75-mile radius of Kansas City.
The Chiefs have played 155 regular-season games without a blackout, dating to the final home game of the 1990 season.

Wish I was back in KC, I’d buy a ticket.

I think KC needs this. The terrible effort we have put forth, and the overall lack of talent is horrible. I think a blackout might give management and the coaching staff a message. We arent going to spend the hundreds of dollars to go to a game to watch our team get the hell beat of them.
I dont live in the area, so I cant say for sure, but I would say this isnt a totally terrible thing.
