[Kansas City.com] Chiefs fans used to watching home games on live TV will need to find something else to do at noon this Sunday.
The Chiefs failed to sell enough ticket to ensure a sellout, so Sunday’s game against Cleveland at Arrowhead Stadium will be blacked out locally.
Sunday’s Chiefs game will also be blacked out on the CBS affiliates in Topeka and St. Joseph and on satellite systems within a 75-mile radius of Arrowhead Stadium.

I live in Southwest Missouri (Joplin). I’m about 2 and a half hours away from KC in Newton County. Will I be able to watch the game?

Sad! How low has this once proud organization fallen? Reminds me of their neighbors the Royals.

Thats just great. We actually have a chance to watch the Chiefs win a game and you black it out. I’m sorry that they have lost over 30 games the past 3 or 4 years. Take it out on the fans its probably the best decision.

Wow….never thought i would see this. Another thing I’ve noticed also, is the # of fans from the opposing team these days at arrowhead. In the 90′s you’d see no more than about 25 people for the opposing team, now you see thousands. There was a time where we had the best homefield advantage there could be (AND THE LOUDEST). This really hurts as a chiefs fan and i hope there is a turn in the short future….something has to give. Come on chiefs org, team, fans…..Hopefully 2010 will bring some wins

Sad… Maybe this will send a message to management. We don’t care for the product you put on the field, and we don’t want to spend the money to watch you get pounded… please change that sometime soon.
Maybe the fact that they are losing the revenue from the game they will start making changes.
Lord knows we have like 30 million in cap room.

Its a cycle, we’ll be back. We already improved over last year. Hang in there Chiefs fans! Stay positive. Go old school and listen to it on the radio.

To be honest, all you chiefs fans who just posted on this. Go buy some tickets! You guys are gonna get too comfortable w/ not caring about our team now, but just wait. Watch them take our team away, watch them just leave for a bigger market. It doesn’t matter how much we love the chiefs, it’s a business. Go buy some tickets, even if we do suck now. It’s like Jeff in VA said “Its a cycle, we’ll be back”. Do something for our team!

I cant lie I want a good draft spot but for me, the Chiefs season will be a success with a win against the Browns, Steelers and the Raiders atleast once..

Why show the nation what a screw up job Herm the destroyer did to this team???? I would be happy if we never ever saw another game on tv this year or next.
