[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles has been named the FedEx Ground Player of the Week after rushing for a franchise-record 259 yards in a 44-24 victory at Denver last Sunday. Charles also had a career-high two rushing touchdowns in that contest, scoring on five-yard and 56-yard runs. Earlier this week, Charles was selected by his teammates as the winner of the Derrick Thomas Award presented annually to the Chiefs most valuable player.

Great job for us this year. I hope he learns to hold on to the ball in the off season. We should have many more exciting years with this young stud!

Good job Jamaal! Hope to see this carry over in to next year. Don’t worry about the fumbles, he only had 2 after starting the last 10 weeks. A Peterson had 6 this year.
