[Kansas City.com] Chiefs guard Brian Waters has been selected for the NFL’s most prestigious award, the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year.
Waters, a finalist for the second time in the past three years, will be introduced as the winner in ceremonies before Super Bowl XLIV Sunday night at Sun Life Stadium.
The award recognizes excellence for both on the field accomplishments and for community service. Waters is the fifth Chiefs player to win the award, more than any other team.
Waters, a four-time Pro Bowler, follows linebacker Willie Lanier (1972), quarterback Len Dawson (1973), linebacker Derrick Thomas (1993) and guard Will Shields (2003).

One of the many reasons im proud to be a kansas city chiefs fan.
