With the first of their two 2nd round picks in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected RB Dexter McCluster from Mississippi.
McCluster (5’9”, 172) rushed for 1,196 yards last season on 181 carries and scored eight rushing touchdowns. He also caught 44 passes for 520 yards and scored three more touchdowns.
McCluster is an explosive multi-purpose player who’s a threat to score any time the ball is in his hands. He should easily find a home at the next level as a specialty player who lines up in the backfield, out on the flanks, and is asked to return punts and kicks.

I know some people are going to say “WHAT?”, but I like it. This guy is fast, can catch the ball and was probably the best player on the board who was still available.

THey are going to use him in different schemes. I think he is going to be a great slot receiver, as well as a running back. Every team that plays the chiefs this year is going to be running up and down the field chasing these guys. I LIKE IT!

My initial thought was another Dante Hall- However this prospect is bigger and should remind us of the joystick

Wes Welker?? Try Percy Harvin.

He’s small so I would say more like a Desean Jackson. Javier Arenas will be our Dante Hall have you seen footage of this guy. I would like some Run stoppers now…say a DT or ILB with our next two picks.

THis TE we drafted (Meoke) better be good. We gave up two picks to trade up to get him. We don’t have a 4th round pick now.

Chiefs need to sign these undrafted free agents:
T. Brandon Carter (Texas Tech) (He is a 6’7″ Monster)
WR. Freddy Barnes (Bowling Green) (Balitnikof Winner)
WR. Denario Alexander (Mizz)
QB. Max Hall (BYU) (Probably wouldn’t make the team, but worth a tryout)
CB. Donovan Warren (Mich) (Rated #18 CB on Mel Kipper’s Board)
T. Adam Ulatoski (Texas) Best tackle available)
It will be interesting to see who the Chiefs invite.

McCluster is explosive and a play maker that we can definitely use but we have no pass rush and Kindle was right there for the taking. Remember, defenses win championships!!!

I honestly have mixed feelings about this draft..Eric Berry was great..After him Im scratching my head…McCluster? Ok I get it, he can be used for ST, 3rd down RB catching out of the backfield/Slot WR..Still, couldnt we have drafted a RB later in the draft for that?..But Ill take it..But the DB with our 3rd pick?..Im not sold on this..Not with a few solid OT left on the board, a need we needed to fill before DB imo. Personally I would have loved the chiefs to get the guy from Div 2 Akwasi Owusu-Ansah..Hes going to be a steal for the Cowboys mark my words..I had to give the draft grade for the Chiefs a C..But Pioli is where he is at for a reason..So we have to take their words for it…I to want to jump on the bandwagon and get KC to sign Faneca..He still has a couple good years left..Why not?..Now the TE pick I dont understand..We traded away picks for him…I dont see how and if he will even be worth it..But time will tell..All I can say is Im glad Denver had a sorry draft..1st they got a WR, ok 1st they need a QB to get him the ball..Then Tim Tebow, I cant wait for Berry to light him up, or Hali, or DJ..Cant wait..Oakland actually had a good draft for once, which scares me..But Cambell will lead them to loses against us..
