The Chiefs traded a 4th round pick (102) and a 5th round pick (144) to the Houston Texans in exchange for their 3rd round pick (93) and used it to select TE Tony Moeaki from the University of Iowa.

Moeaki (6’3″, 245) made the most of his one season as a starter at Iowa, recording 30 receptions for 397 yards and 4 touchdowns and earning first-team All-Big Ten honors.

Moeaki had an injury plagued career at Iowa, but when healthy, his strong blocking and ability to make spectacular catches make it easy to picture him as an NFL starter.

The Chiefs now have only two picks remaining, both in the 5th round.
