[Chiefs Blog] On Monday, Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star reported that free agent DT John Henderson would be making a visit to Kansas City. Citing Henderson’s agent, Teicher said the visit would happen today.

As we’ve learned, that won’t be happening. Teicher confirmed Jason La Canfora’s report that Henderson is not visiting the Chiefs.

“Defensive lineman John Henderson will not be making his scheduled visit to see the Chiefs, at least not today as scheduled,” Teicher reports. “The reason for the postponement, or cancellation, is unclear at the moment.”

    1. Thats ok..Maybe he will maybe he wont come to KC..However I did see on ESPN insider that KC is looking to be the landing zone for T.O…Atleast the most likely now..Some people will have mixed feelings on this, I for one dont. I think there is more upside then downside..I think T.O. has grown up and can atleast help develope Bowe…We would get him cheap, and another weapon for Cassel to do well..

    3. You are CRAZY if you think TO has grown up. He will be good for awhile, but when things go south and when he stops getting the ball, he will turn on this team and coaches. However, he will fit right in given his propensity for dropping catches (I think he led the league in drops his last year in Dallas)

    4. Last I heard The Bears are going after T.O. I don’t see us bringing him in after all of the signings this year. Chambers, McCluster, J. Urban, And Bowe in place already. We don’t really need T.O. We could use another pass rusher though. I want to see if this guy from Troy can bring some heat on 3rd and long. With no pressure on the QB we will be in trouble. Lets not rely on the blitz. That is just asking for trouble.

    5. The last player in the entire league that we need is TO. He is a cancer on the decline!!! Also, I don’t know if J. Henderson will work for us because he has played in a 4-3 his entire career. J.H. does not have the bulk to play tackle in a 3-4. We should be going after Adalius Thomas for a one year deal. I know he is older but New England did not let him loose like he played in Baltimore and he will play hard because he will be playing for a 2-3 yr deal in the future!

    6. Im not saying T.O. will lead us to the SuperBowl but we have Bowe,Chambers, Urban and Lawrence?..Am I forgeting any other WR?? I guess im optomisic in thinking hes grown up a little and realizes his age makes it impossible to act like he did with the 49ers and Eagles..I think just in skills alone he can help us have a pretty productive offense..Dont think for one second that just because we have Charles and Thomas Jones we are going to be a strickly running team..We have Todd Haley as head coach and he loves to have a dominate WR team. I dont buy that McCluster is our answer to slot WR..I guess time will tell..

That LB we got Cameron Sheffield is from Troy and they have produced some good defense talent the last several years..Demarcus Ware from the Cowboys came from there, and basically did the same position LB/DE…

Im very happy with what Pioli has done with KC with all the changes..I think KC signs one or 2 more big name FAs before the season starts..June 1st cuts is not far off and I think thats where we will get another WR if we dont get T.O..and possibly NT..

    7. Please God no T.O. I do NOT want another cancer in our locker room. Plus he drops soooo many passes its ridiculous.

    8. T.O. is nothing more than an adolescent with a lot of money. He doesn’t beat women, he doesn’t get in trouble for partying and he’s not always out at da club! He just talks alot. That’s it. I don’t have a problem with that.

But what I don’t like are the drops…..like we need anymore of those.

    9. TO may still have gas in the tank. He may still be good for 100 catches a season and 600-800 yards and a handful of TD’s. No one is arguing that point. What distractions does he bring that are devisive for a young team? Do we really need someone to cast stones at #7 when he doesn’t get enough balls? Do we really need the media circus in the locker room or on the practice field? When you weigh the two TO has not shown he has grown up enough to be a Chief. John Henderson is who we need to keep hoping for. No physical issues, no off field drama, locked horns with his coach and is in the dog house. I’ll take him over TO all day every day and TWICE on Sunday.

    10. There’s a reason T O is on the market! When a player has half of his talents and can’t stay on a team very long, AVOID THEM. The Chiefs are heading in the right direction by going young and new, don’t take a risk by bringing someone that will seek to take most, if not all of the lime light.

    11. Y WE arguing here, We should think about the bright side of things like next year going all the way! GO CHIEFS!

    12. I would like to see us sign Jarred Paige. He has been a good Chief. I would like to see Berry at Strong Safety and Paige at free safety… Are there any good 3rd down specialists/ edge rushers available in free agency. It is tough to on have Tamba as a reliable pass rusher.
