[Kansas City.com] Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis had emergency gall bladder surgery Monday morning, more than 48 hours after being diagnosed with an infection, Weis’ agent, Bob LaMonte, told The Star.
LaMonte said that Weis, who has been with the Chiefs since January, began suffering Friday with an infected gall bladder but chose to delay surgery until after Sunday’s home game against San Francisco, which Kansas City won, 31-10.
“He didn’t bother to do anything other than live through 48 hours of pain,” LaMonte said Monday evening. “He knew he was coaching on Sunday.”
Weis admitted himself into a Kansas City-area hospital on Monday morning and is expected to be released Tuesday, LaMonte said, adding that Weis isn’t expected to miss any games.

He took one for the team. I hope he makes a full recovery. He called a GREAT game on Sunday!!
