Weis and Crennel won't be in high demand for head coaching positions after one or even two years of success as coordinators. They both failed so monumentally in their post-NE ventures that it will take at least that long to rinse out that losing stench. The fact that neither of them are in great health plays to our advantage too, as neither one is really probably all that anxious to go back to a higher stress position for near equal pay.

I agree with you Nathan, however, it seems you've left out one person who I believe deserves some credit for teaching too. That's Todd Haley. Everyone was on him last year for his leadership style (too much yelling)and as it turns out, after he has gotten everyone to buy in to his philosophy (tough, fast and smart), they are becoming more successful. I don't want to minimize the Weis/Crennel affect, I just think Haley started this last year before they got here.
I am worried that Weis and Crennels success here, in turning this team around, will get them some head coaching offers next year and tear them away from us. I hope we can keep them for two or three more years to win a superbowl.

I have to agree with this column. The Chiefs have some holes, notably at the QB and maybe at WR but the draft class this year with speed and talent combined with the much improved coaching has this team being competitive now. The next two games will be good tests as to whether they are actual contenders or pretenders. It is much more fun to watch this team, at least they have a realistic chance to win games now.
