[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali, who recorded a career high three sacks in last week’s 31-10 win over San Francisco, has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.

Hali ran his career sack total to 30.5 when he dropped 49ers quarterback Alex Smith three times last weekend in Arrowhead Stadium. Hali and the Chiefs defense held the 49ers to 43 rushing yards and only four of 17 third-down conversions.
