[KC Chiefs.com] Just before the NFL’s trade deadline on Tuesday afternoon, Scott Pioli executed the ninth trade in his tenure as Kansas City’s general manager by sending DL Alex Magee to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for an undisclosed draft pick.
Magee was the Chiefs 3rd-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft and had played mostly a reserve role with the club since arriving in Kansas City.
By trading Magee, Kansas City now has an open roster slot to either sign a free agent or promote a player from the eight-man practice squad.

you think maybe we are creating some space for merriman anyone…? That would be a hard one to swallow at first, being merriman has been one of my most hated players for so long and has the stupidest sack dance of all time…but the positives of lining him up opposite hali would make me forget all about that. and maybe a lights out dance by a chiefs player would be ok as well.

St. Petersburg Times is reporting that the trade was we get a 5th round choice and the Bucs get Magee and our 6th round choice. Not to sure if that is a good trade or not. Chiefs signed a DL Ellison from the Jags- our next opponent.

We need someone other than Hali to get some pressure on the quaterback. It is probably the Chiefs most glaring weakness. If it is not Hali putting the pressure on it’s nobody. That has go to change. That dude Babin that we cut is tearing it up in Tennessee and is constantly getting doubled.
