[Chiefs Blog] Quarterback Matt Cassel was with his teammates at the Chiefs practice facility today and he said he would prepare as if he would play Sunday against the Rams in St. Louis.
”That’s why I’m here. I’ll do what I normally do. It will be a normal week of preparation. It will be a better week for me.”
Preparing to play and actually playing against the Rams a week and a half after having an appendectomy are two different things. The Chiefs don’t hold their first practice of the week until Wednesday and the first public indication of whether Cassel will play in St. Louis would probably come then.

St Louis is a dangerous team trying to make the playoffs. We need Cassel and all our players to show up this week.

If we can get passed this game with a win then things will look very good for us, with two home games to finish out the year. Lets just hope the Niners pull off the upset on thursday against the Chargers and make the Chiefs job a lot easier.

Wasn’t Palco the QB in The Replacements? Didn’t matter who the QB was in that Charger game. Our D forgot how to tackle, cover, pressure…. WTF?
We needed a signature win, something that proves we aren’t that bad. OWe’ve had a weak schedule. On the bright side, the Raider game could be a meaningful game. Bright side for us Raiderhaters.
