The only good to come from losing is that there is no possible way they can play that bad at home 2 weeks in a row(fingers crossed). We got swept by the Raiders, again! Even when we were bad, we could count a successful season as long as we beat the raiders. Only a Superbowl will make up for it now. Nice article as usual. GO CHIEFS!

The article is indeed well-written (as usual). I doubt the front office would have the guts to fire Weiss at this stage, especially with his OC credentials. If we lose, everyone in the country will point to his firing as the cause, true or not. The deal and the last game were close together. The most I believe we can hope for is that the extra time will enable Weiss and the OL to get their heads back into the game.

I wonder if Brian Billick would be interested in being OC. He was OC in Minnesota when they used to score all those points. Most people think of him as a defensive guy because they were great in Baltimore. I think that would be a good replacement, but he was a HC for so long he might not want to be a coordinator. If they could hire him before the game Sunday, that would cause a distraction for Baltimore players.

Nathan, Charlie Weis is going to the University of Florida for family reasons. He is going to Florida to mentor his son, who will be an assistant there. But it was screwed up how Charlie Weis announced it on the eve of a playoff run.

Excellent commentary. In addition to the Weis distraction, I can’t help but believe that the team was looking past this game. Let’s face it… the outcome was largely meaningless… Jets or Ravens, it really doesn’t matter. In fact, the Ravens may be a more favorable opponent if there is such a thing. The entire Chiefs team just looked flat and I missed the energy, discipline and aggressiveness that won us the home opener. I hope they can get it back for Sunday’s big game. Go Chiefs!

I agree whole heartedly. He pulled a Tony Gonzalez on us. I hate players and coaches that quit on the team or desire to go somewhere else. Let Haley take over the rest of the post season he’s pulled double duty before.
