Hali Takes AFC Sack Title

[Kansas City.com] Tamba Hali had 2 1/2 sacks and finished the season with 14 1/2 , most in the AFC. Miami’s Cameron Wake finished a half-sack behind Hali.

Hali was not selected to the Pro Bowl, a fact that surprised Oakland quarterback Jason Campbell.

“Out of all the guys we’ve faced this year, he’s got to be one of the top three on the defensive side of the ball,” Campbell said. “The guy plays extremely hard, and he’s the guy you’ve always got to know where he’s at on the field. He should be going to the Pro Bowl. There’s no reason he shouldn’t be.”

Hali has 41 1/2 career sacks, good for seventh place in Chiefs history.

    2. Tamba, you’re a beast—literally. You will NOT go unnoticed next year my friend–it cannot happen, there’s just no way! I’m proud of this honor for you! Now take care of Flacco next week, I know you will:-)

    3. Its because the Chiefs haven’t been on TV all year. No ones heard of him.

BTW for all you fans in Kansas City, CBS nationally changed from the Steelers game (a blowout) to the Chiefs game when the score was 10-10 and the Chiefs immediately started losing. That’s all the nation saw of the Chiefs all year. That first Monday night game was too late for most to watch. That’s also why we’re getting no respect against the Ravens.

Maybe someone will be injured and Tamba will be selected. Better yet, maybe Tamba will be playing in the superbowl and won’t make it to the pro bowl.

    4. Kansas City Chiefs schedule for 2011 posted on ESPN.com

Home: Denver, Oakland, San Diego, Buffalo, Miami, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Minnesota

Away: Denver, Oakland, San Diego, New England, N.Y. Jets, Indianapolis, Chicago, Detroit

WOW! That’s a tough schedule. Price you pay for winning your division.

    5. Jeff, wouldn’t the entire AFC West play the AFC East and NFC North as well? And then the 2 “throw-ins” happen to be two division winners as well…so the rest of the AFC West would not be playing Indy and Pitt, is that right? Thanx for the info–shewey–next year will be a test, that’s for sure! Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it, but I tell ya what…it’s probably a good thing, either they’ll rise or they won’t–but they better rise to it!!

    6. No that is not right Tammy.

You are correct that the rest of the AFC West will play the AFC East and NFC North but the final two games depend on where you finish in your division.

Since the Chiefs won their division they get Indianapolis and Pittsburgh.

The Chargers would get Baltimore and Jacksonville.

The Raiders would get Cleveland and Tennesse.

The Broncos would get Cincinnati and Houston.

    7. Husker’s got it right. You play your division twice, an AFC division, an NFC division and for the “throw in” two teams that placed in their division the same as you did in yours…1st place plays first place, 2nd place plays second place etc.
I think we’re lucky to get GB and Vikes at our home, those are tough places to play and we can beat Chicago and Detroit at their homes. We were unfortunate to get NE at their place, that is a hard place to win. A quick look at the schedule and I’ll be happy with another 10-6 next year.
We’re an improving team and we’re about to become a dominate team.

    8. Yeah, Yeah, I think that’s what I said…so I DID get it right Jeff amd Mr. Husker. Why did you write “No, that’s not right Tammy”?? Please re-read my post.

The 2 “throw-in” teams are given to us b/c they’re also division winners and the rest of the AFC West would not be playing Indy and Pitt…how can you say I got it wrong when that’s what I wrote?!!??!! Stoopid Girl.
