[KC Chiefs.com] The NFL announced today that safety Eric Berry has been named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for December/January. He is the first member of the Chiefs to ever win this honor.
Berry produced 39 tackles, eight passes defensed, two interceptions with one touchdown and five special teams tackles in December and January. He also started all 16 games in 2010, becoming the first Chiefs rookie safety to open every regular season game since 2000.

Yeah the backfield kinda makes you think back to the days of LLoyd Burress, Derron Cherry and Albert Lewis in the 80s. It would be nice if they could play together for a long time.

Jeff in VA, don’t forget about Kevin Ross on those late 80′s Chief teams!
