With their 2nd round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected C Rodney Hudson from Florida St.
Hudson (6’2″, 299) finished his career as the most decorated offensive lineman in the history of the Atlantic Coast Conference. In 2010, he became the Seminoles’ first unanimous All-American first-team offensive lineman since 2004, and he was one of just four down lineman to receive All-ACC honors four times in a career.
Hudson has been a sensational lineman on the college level, and despite his lack of natural size and bulk, he projects well as a zone blocking lineman in the NFL. His limited size may force a move to center, but Hudson will succeed in the right system.

Looks like a good solid pick. Smart, Leader, and has received many honors.

i love this pick!!! it was a pick of need and there really isnt much difference between this guy and pouncey. if hudson had a twin brother that was a pro bowler last year, he would have the been the first rd center chosen. go chiefs!!!

I like this pick, but i wonder is barry richardson seriously gonna start at RT again this year? I thought the RT position was one of our biggest needs next to NT and WR??

TREMENDOUS PICK FOR THE CHIEFS! I knew they’d pick Baldwin as well. Just didn’t think he’d go 1st! But either way, picking him up was also great! Both he and Hudson are needs addressed! Hudson has serious Pro Bowl potential! And having Houston fall to us in the 3rd round was like hitting the lotto! It’s nearly impossible to top last year’s draft, but this one is close! Pioli nailed another home run! Bailey was a bit of a reach, but if he gets coached well, which he will, watch out for him! He’s one tough hombre!
