With their 7th Round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected FB Shane Bannon from Yale.

Bannon (6’2″, 268) was a two year starter for Yale, seeing time at both fullback and tight end.

Bannon is a one dimensional blocker yet very effective in that role. He offers ability as a lead blocking fullback or can be used as a blocking tight end in short yardage situations. He totaled just 2 carries and 13 pass receptions during his career.
