[KC Chiefs.com] The Chiefs finally confirmed what many had been speculating since the lockout ended by releasing WR Chris Chambers and CB Jackie Bates.
Chambers came to the Chiefs on waivers in November of 2009. He had a number of good games that year, recording 36 receptions for 608 yards and 4 touchdowns.
For that, the Chiefs rewarded Chambers with a new contract in March 2010 including a reported $5.9 million in guaranteed money. Unfortunately, Chambers didn’t reward the Chiefs in return. In 2010, he only had 22 catches for 213 yards.
